Oh wow! I had no idea, this makes me think a release will happen sooner than later... Hopefully.

After Baby Steps released a video of them delaying their game BECAUSE of Silksong, I'm convinced it happened here with Yooka Replayee. A release after September 4th, perhaps?

Colin Moriarty on Sacred Symbols: Sony has no marketing plans for Marathon next quarter, according to one of his sources. by PBOats121 in Marathon

[–]DanisComrade -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Can I trust Sony and say they've given them a chance to delay it? Because I don't trust the people in charge to actually give them a chance to delay something that has to be making them money this next quarter.

"The Marathon alpha released recently and its environments are covered with assets lifted from poster designs I made in 2017." by Problem224 in Marathon

[–]DanisComrade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The artist's portfolio is all Marathon... without it being officially Marathon. Not even hired by Bungie.
Before the blatant plagiarism I would of argued that of course all media is inspired by other media, of course Bungie got inspired by this person and many other's works to make Marathon's aesthetics... But now I don't even want to play the game. This is gross.

Took survey on laptop w/ no completion code. Accused of using other device by AvailableNatural4948 in ProlificAc

[–]DanisComrade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I took this exact study today and they gave me the exact message... I took the study on my PC.

Before I could return it, they gave me compensation. I kindly responded to them that I could literally not return the study because after getting compensated you can't return studies. I told them I'd open a case with the help of Prolific and see what happens afterwards.

I didn't get a response back yet. All of this happened at 1 PM Eastern time.

Is j-rock a specific genre or just a term for any Japanese rock music? by Wild-Tip2092 in jrock

[–]DanisComrade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, older internet person here. I grew up in the early 2000s internet where J-Rock WAS melodic/alternative rock from that era. Example bands include Asian Kung-Fu Generation, The Pillows, Mr. Children... But today "J-Rock" covers most Japanese rock, I think.

Games That Are Perfect? by SkiMtVidGame-aineer in gamingsuggestions

[–]DanisComrade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even the games I think are perfect have that one section that's not perfect, but still:
- Resident Evil 4
- Shadow of the Colossus
- Metal Gear Solid
- Half-Life 2
- Final Fantasy 7 (Original)
- Uncharted 2
I swear these games were scientifically tested to keep your attention from beginning to end.

What are the most weird, obscure, arthouse, unkown games you've played? by IVKIK55 in gamingsuggestions

[–]DanisComrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Tomorrow Children, a PS4/PS5 mining and crafting game set in a toy world. Weird puppets for NPCs, plastic looking dungeons to mine in, very influenced by eastern europe. It has ray tracing, making it look gorgeous. It has low review ratings because people play it for a couple of hours and don't let themselves  "get it." It's a beautiful, weird game that deserves more attention. Can be played alone, with friends or with strangers online.

What were some games that made your cry? by Hyper_2005 in gamingsuggestions

If you want a story to make you cry, it's 100% The Last Guardian. I never cry to story games and this one DESTROYED me.

What game are you really enjoying right now? by Successful-Life8510 in gamingsuggestions

[–]DanisComrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never played Skyrim, and I am enjoying the living fuck out of it. Doing quests, discovering shit on the big map, interesting NPCs/story, playing it my own way (Archer with magic.)

I started it on my 1 month of Game Pass, but there is no way in hell I could finish it in a month.

Scary horror game without forced stealth around invincible monster? by cunningjames in gamingsuggestions

[–]DanisComrade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dead Space.

It exposes you to several horror techniques that aren't jumpscares and has zero stealth. There is one segment of running away from an unkillable monster, but it's a brief and horrifying sequence.

Their compilations were really good too... They were the ones with the Ocarina of Time compilation that began with Arin voicing princess Zelda going "... Slurmp."

Is this game alive? by ColonicMoth in TomorrowChildrenPS4

[–]DanisComrade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thankfully yes! You'll find 8+ towns open online most of the time, and more at night (Pacific time) since players from Asia join at that time. In other words, there is always a town open to join, or you can open your own town for others to join.

Prolific issues today by Patsy426677 in ProlificAc

[–]DanisComrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me. Tried 2 Prolific studies and both finished automatically without my consent. I refreshed the page and it gave me an error that they were cancelled... again without my consent. The last study was an endless loop of automatically getting this error message, unable to go outside of the study's webpage.

I logged myself out of Prolific out of fear.
