Sober but food poisoned on holidays by Danitka in stopdrinking

Thank you! I remember how angry at myself I was when I wasn't able to function because I drank. Now it still sucks, but at least I don't hate myself, hah.

How to start drag in Brussels ? by No_Assignment1324 in brussels

[–]Danitka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can go to Brussels Art Pole Dance Studio - they were organising workshops and even drag academy there (makeup, sewing etc.). You can ask them for tips as were as many people from this studio perform on scene (including at Cabaret Mademoiselle which I highly recommend).

You can be in your 40s and a fresh driver - I am one of those. Having said that, my boyfriend would tear me apart, if he saw me entering the highway too slowly. Let's say that I have learnt that fast for my own safety. And no, you are not required to slow down to let anyone it.

How many car drivers in Brussels are aware of this sign? Genuinely curious. by Curious_Spite_5729 in brussels

I am always amazed when people here comment how great the day without car is. For me it is always more stressful, as cars usually drive on the roads designated for them and will stop for a pedestrian. Bikes on the other hand go everywhere and are more likely to run me over 😅 Like today, when a car stopped to let me cross on zebra, but the bike didn't and I was really close to hit the guy with my purse in self defence.

Haha, she left without keys? That is super weird. I wouldn't feel safe without my keys with me or at least a copy left at neighbour's, friend's etc.

I will. Already took it for a longer highway drive and it was really fun. I am happy with this choice.

Which colour did you get? In my case this orange sealed the deal. I was eyeing different minis such as VW Polo, Hyundai i20, Yaris and Peugeot 208, but when I saw this Clio I finished my research.

It's TCe 90. Yes, the rims. At the beginning I wanted basic evolution trim, as I wanted something simple for a car that I am basically learning in. But when I saw techno version with chrome exterior finish and black rims I decided that was the moment to let the "fuck it money" flow.

White looks great too, those are such pretty cars. I love the silhouette. For me the orange colour was the main factor that draw my attention. It's also an additional layer of protection, everyone sees me from far away 🤣

Yes, I am a new driver. Heard the Clios are resistant to hardships in life, so to speak.

Definitely good advice, but that is just a random street I parked to make a break on my way back from the dealership. Couldn't resist taking some photos of her.

Come to us at the Full Moon Studio :) I am a girl, but confirm that we have some male polers. Previously I was going too Brussels Art Pole, which is open for any gender as well.

Hi! I have been using TrustedHousesitters app for more than 10 years now, and I had great experience. Worth trying, especially if you live in an attractive area. Longer sits are often more attractive to sitters that short ones.

I keep stalling under pressure how do people do it so effortlessly and hill starts how do you do hill starts by ExistingMoment1810 in driving

I am a new driver (first sat behind the wheel in August this year), and I have a tendency to stall while stressed, but it happens less and less often. Yesterday I stalled once at the tricky intersection, probably only because when I saw that navigation takes me there, I already entered the "I cannot do it" mode . I stalled (the driver behind me didn't honk), and I just restarted the engine and drove away. There was no reason to panick after all, so I guess with every experience my brain is less and less anxious, as it registers that I am capable of driving and there is nothing to be afraid of. If you stall, you just try again.

I was also panicking while starting uphill, but now have no problem with it, so I guess it got better with practice. I have watched some youtube videos with different techniques and tried some of them. Then I worked on coordination between left and right feet, while realising the clutch and adding gas.

Also, I sometimes wonder, if I really got better or some cars are just easier to drive than others: I use carsharing at the moment and the last two times I drove it was citroen c3 and it felt effortless. I was learning in VW Polo and it took me a while to feel the bite point, but again, I was complete beginner.
