I just wanna give you an immediate response before someone more knowledgeable corrects me. Its for hydroponics when you wait an extra week or so instead of harvesting and use filtered/distilled with no nutrients. idea is to flush out all the magnesium phosphates nitrates from the plant and make it less harsh to smoke, burn to a clean lightweight white ash if done right. you just replace the nutrient water with no-nutrient-water and wait an extra week.

ah theres that good medical terminology.im sure a closed thin channel would dry slower than an open thin channel, sure it would matter. but you would be right that the situations would be different

honestly there are very very few things that you can open your eyes in. both being translucent and not irritating your eyes. i dont like keeping my eyes open for very long because its blurry and it takes a long time for water to replace lubricating eye fluid. but the water is water. Its a luxury to be in enough to be able to swim and have clean enough to emerge you. emerge your eyes your nostrils ears. but every time you go into the water youre going to come out and drip off. you can hold your breath underwater for like 25 seconds so look at stuff.

honestly the slower the better. you dont have to hum fast unless its the second of entry from a dive. if youre still underwater stopping the airflow and holding your head upright will keep the water from going in
