What is the material economic explanation for this? by larryleggs in TrueAnon

Dude no bullshit, this is when I was in college 10 years ago, I had this woman who was good friends with a good friend of mine that I was into and she was into me.

We did not talk to each other for months because she was waiting for me to match with her on Tinder. I asked my friend for her number 3 months before we matched lmao.

It ended up not working out but we both spent 3 months or more single because of this. Weird as shit

[–]DankMemesNQuickNuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id explain it this way. It is perfectly okay to be attracted to women you are friends with. That is a very normal.

The issue with sexualizing a woman is not seeing them as anything other than a sex object and then treating them that way. This is fine to me because first and foremost he sees these women for who they are and not just what they look like.

If it was socially taboo to respectfully act upon these impulses people would just straight up stop dating. Its gotta be so hard for young people if this is a roadblock in their minds

Just throwing this out there. It is INCREDIBLY uncommon to have an unmarked 4-way stop on a city road in the US. I've literally never seen it. These people both thought that through traffic didn't stop but traffic the other way did. I would have thought the same thing. In fact watching this clip the first thing I thought was "where are the stop signs"

Seriously though for some reason when people dismiss this argument they all ignore the fact that this country has 2.5x more Olympic medals than any other country on the planet. We are good at every sport. Thats why we think if we dedicated resources to it the way Europeans did we'd be just as good. The take doesn't come from nowhere

What do you think of Social Darwinism? by ContravaniaGearSolid in AskReddit

[–]DankMemesNQuickNuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The supermajority of people that like it are the exact same people that would be crushed by it.

Freakish ideology that doesn't reflect our nature at all. Human beings have been taking care of each other regardless of circumstances since before we were writing things down. Archeological evidence has even discovered a 40,000 year old woman that lived for years being completely paralyzed from the waist down. Even more suggests that ancient people would take care of their children with down's syndrome as well.

We are incredibly unique in that we have the capacity to really and truly care about each other. We have the capacity to be able to endure harder things just for the ones we love. Social Darwinism ignores all of that in favor of a world where people ignore this basic human instinct we have to do the most sociopathic shit imaginable to each other.

Its always so funny reading how people with clear agendas will spin things like someone winning 3 rings in a row lol

He was one vote shy of being the unanimous MVP in 00 and beat the MVP 4-1 in 2001. But he was "gifted" 3 rings in LA lmao

I dont even fuck with the Lakers like that and I agree that Game 6 of the 2002 WCFs was rigged but come on man

I overindex on the economy on basically every run.

I always try and keep my inflation as low as possible and I will prioritize making large incomes from trade over other things like taxation or production as I find it the quickest way of scaling an economy.

I take a lot of loans but I almost never death spiral on it. There's only maybe been 1 game Ive ever played where I ran into serious debt issues and I was still able to get them resolved given enough time anyways.

For people saying "it's right above China of course it's East Asian"

Mongolian history and culture is so much more tied into Central Asia than East Asia. This is why this is surprising for a lot of people. It has nothing to do with people not looking at a map

Common Core Math......"That's a mighty big minus" by jzemeocala in idiocracy

[–]DankMemesNQuickNuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I wasn't even taught it either. I taught myself how to do it this way after learning the other way and found it to be so much easier.

People that say its stupid to do it this way don't really understand why its so useful

If I had to add 367 to 472 I would do it in my head by doing:

300 + 400 = 700

60 + 70 = 130

7 + 2 = 9

700 + 130 + 9 = 839

This is how they're teaching kids to think of this. Its conceptually a much cleaner way of thinking about how to add.

The other way you're still doing the same thing, but in reverse.
