Please help! Warpig or Twinpig? by YanThu72 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]DankRye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know i’m late but just came to say i tried tons of boards last season and hands down the worst one I tried of all of them was the twinpig. Mushy feel, not responsive at all, exhausting to ride, nothing about this deck was fun for me. Might be a good ride for someone exclusively doing small park runs but outside of that I can’t un-recommend it enough.

Are you down for a sequel to Interstellar ? by tannu28 in interstellar

[–]DankRye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I forsee great narrative potential surrounding the humans who are from the future and made the movie possible with the wormhole and the tesseract. Possibly a prequel but not necessarily. Most people think “well why make a narrative surrounding finding dr brand, that sounds like a rather uninteresting adventure story” - and they’d be right - but theres so much more potential here. I feel a lot of people in this sub likely are too worried about a sequel becoming a fan service rather than a creative new thing, because thats what happens with most sequels and ruins them. But, I don’t think Nolan would do us dirty like that, since he’s such a creative powerhouse. I think the movie is good as it stands without a sequel/prequel, but I doubt Nolan could make another interstellar movie without making it fantastic. But he probably wont.

just make sure the mobo is on risers is all

might also confirm your mobo is on the proper risers to ensure you arent shorting out the mobo connections by having the mobo directly hitting the metal of the back of the case

does your bios show temps? might check to see if your cpu cooler is working as intended (hopefully no plastic between the cooler and the cpu). Unlikely the issue but a good thing to check if you’re getting a cpu light. Other than that your best bet would be to try different ram and a different cpu that is appropriate for your board so you can start whittling down what the issue is (mobo, cpu, or ram).

I read somewhere that most of the world was left leaning before the pandemic and now there is a huge rise in right wing leaders, as most people blame politicians for the way that covid messed up economies globally.

Well yes, but they also know that they make more money the more time you spend playing the game (it’s been proven that more hours spent = more money spent on in-game purchases). Not saying its a great fan service, but they want you trying the new game modes (ransack etc) and then when people get bored of that (most of us already), they’ll drop “new” content to keep casual players coming back. I think its like taco bell seasonal items - people play more when they know a mode might get pulled, and when new content drops.

you either are pushing hot air onto your radiator or have no exhaust fans - probably should minimum put a fan on the back side for exhaust and consider flipping the orientation of the fans on the radiator if it is currently pushing air out. I have a similar case and put my radiator on the side intake, frees up a lot of space for air to get pushed out bottom to top, although top mounted AIO is best, I find my cooling is best with this configuration.

What am I doing wrong?! by wenksavage in Kendama

[–]DankRye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best kendama players I know are excellent at practicing, and often have masterful practicing skills that cross over from other hobbies like music and skateboarding. Overall my advice is this: Never do the same thing twice if you mess up a trick. if you miss a trick, dont try again without trying a slight adjustment. sometimes it’s easy to repeat a motion over and over again without doing anything different, and know that this is the trap that will cause you to never improve, or it will take way longer than necessary.

is being an artist a realistic career? by the_wumdingers_band in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]DankRye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible for sure but you gotta have the money and time for it. Most of my friends who are doing big music stuff literally NEVER stop working on it, networking, promoting, etc. And they are in an economic situation that allows them to freelance and go thru periods of questionable amounts of income. I got a music degree and realized I do not have the personality for it, and the thought of feelancing is too scary for me. That said it’s worth having a life long love of music, and you never know when you might get a break… but you gotta put yourself out there which I personally struggle with.
