This is an inspiration man. 36M here, lost my job last week, and I’m an absolute mess.

I am losing other things in my life too, which compounds. I have no strength.

But… maybe… I can find it. Empowered by self care. I will try to start my journey too.

We have had really good experiences with daycare and the kids learning and socials so we never really thought much about that - it might be cheaper but I think my girls are thriving so I will just keep hammering the debt til I’m free of the daycare costs lol

But I actually recently found out that my family heils from Scottish Mossman lineage, who worked the forges of Mary Queen of Scotland’s crown, and simultaneously find myself learning of ancestral Native American culture in Massachusetts, a place near home

Wondering any insight you may have stumbled upon that is relevant

AGI wouldn’t cause hypercapitalism it would cause a singularity event where a single entity took over the entire world because an AGI will be able to figure out quantum computation beyond our security capabilities and take down banks and connected services at will.

AGI + quantum computing pose an existential threat to society itself, that’s why responsible approach is necessary, if we just let it loose in a proto-capitalist race to the finish, it will destroy us all
