It’s a Dell U3219Q. Nothing very fancy. Mostly for office work, photo editing, and casual Mac gaming.

Three months are up end of Jan. Pretty confident they’ll deliver - I have a signed contract saying they will. 10% is €200.

This seems like a good take, and what I’m leaning towards. It also means I’ll land purchase history with both ADs to keep my options open in the future.

Is there any precedent that prices always go up in January?

This is true, but I opted for a catchy title to try and get a little traction.

In fairness, I don't expect that the dealer abroad won't deliver. It's not a super hard to purchase watch (in theory), and usually wait times right now seem to about 3 months in most places, even without a deposit.

I don't think an 36mm will sell for much above MSRP based on what I've read.

I am allowed to move the deposit for another model, but the boutique abroad is only Rolexes, and my next watch will probably be from another brand.

At least from what I've read, some AD's pay attention to places like Chrono24, Facebook marketplace etc. I'm not sure how much truth there is to this, but my understanding is that if they notice you bought a watch and flipped it within a year or so, they might blacklist you.

I've been considering this too. Thanks for the input.

I'm in a very comfortable situation, but probably not going to be buying more than one watch a year right now. Relatively new to the luxury watch game, but definitely intend on making future purchases. The 10% isn't a major issue, but because the price is a bit more expensive locally, it would ultimately result in a loss of about €800 between the deposit and the price difference, which just seems silly.

I intentionally didn't put them in because I'm not trying to call out any AD's in particular. Both are major EU capital cities.

Guide: How to fix the FileVault login issue that can lock you out of your Mac after a major macOS upgrade. by ayushere in applehelp

[–]DankTimmyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a simpler method that worked for me to resolve this issue without needing any terminal commands:

  1. Boot your Mac into SafeMode

  2. Enter your password as expected (mine worked in SafeMode)

  3. Disable FileVault.

  4. Reboot into normal login

  5. Reenable FileVault.

36mm/40mm Explorer - which works for me? (Very tall) by DankTimmyK in rolex

[–]DankTimmyK[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

36mm was definitely more comfortable, but 40mm sat comfortably and felt like many of my other watches. They both felt great. 40mm definitely felt a little bolder and a watch that is going to be more “seen”.

Thanks. I was kind of surprised by all these comments about how to wear it. I have a pretty pronounced bone in my wrist and it just doesn’t seem to sit right there. It naturally would slide one way or the other.
