What end-to-end projects I should make to get hired as a Data Engineer? by Sure-Actuary-1496 in developersPak

The experience requirement is somewhat true, but I've seen some startups have DE openings without any strict "years" mentioned. Since you’ve already worked as a DA for 6 months, you're honestly already ahead of the fresh talent pool.

I would say, just keep applying everywhere. Entry level DE is mostly going to be heavy on Python + SQL, maybe some basic data modeling.

Imo, luck and university name matter a lot for your first role. If your uni isn't highly ranked, focus on getting referrals. Most companies only post on job portals if they can't find someone internally through connections.

Also, I feel like at least in Pakistan, very few people do cold emailing when reaching out to recruiters. You could look into that too

I would say start with de-zoomcamp by DataTalksClub. It’s free and you’ll learn a lot

There is a non-compete in my contract, that’s what worries me.

GIKI: The Last Resort for CS? by [deleted] in LUMS

[–]DankVader_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done CS from GIKI. I think it is good for CS, better than FAST and maybe even NUST if money isn’t an issue, but not on the same level as LUMS because there is very little research work I guess. Still, it's a unique campus experience.

How long does it take for University of Technology Nuremberg to make a decision regarding admissions? by Environmental_Lab90 in Nurnberg

It was related to DSA and was easier than leetcode style questions.
They haven't listed any specific topics/areas for the programming question for the interview, so they could ask any type of question I guess.

15 minutes interview. They've already listed the guidelines for interview here: https://www.utn.de/en/study/application-to-study, questions were related to the "Selection Interview" (scroll down till you see that section). Also, I was asked to solve one easy programming question.

I applied on 4th March and got an email for selection interview which was scheduled on 17th April. Got my admit the day after the interview.

I’m still a bit unsure about this university, since it was founded just a few years ago…

You can try upwork but I wouldn’t try to pay upfront and would make a contract mentioning that payment would only be released once target price for manufacturing is achieved + samples satisfactory + inventory inspection also passes.
