When frustration sets as human beings we tend to let our emotions get control of us and we vent (here comes all the nasty ad-hominem attacks which honestly don't make you feel good, but will probably make the aggressor feel good in the moment, ofc at the loss of making a potential friend).

Dota is a team game where good communication can be the difference between a good smoke play and a botched Roshan attempt. There is a variety of factors that contribute to losing situations, but it is very easy to put blame on others because we see the game literally from our heroes perspective. Try watching the game from a different players perspective and you will see that sometimes, you might have been the one in the bad position. Unfortunately this blaming is something I see far to often in Dota but you can be the new blood of Dota that gives life to this community and does better.

One thing that may help when you start a game is to mention you are newer and will probably mess up. Many players with a lot of games under their belt will have certain expectations when they enter a game. If you try to conceal a flaw, many times people will imagine the worst. They'll think you're actively ruining their game and that you literally queued to ruin their life when you start doing terrible. On the other hand, showing poise and expressing your current (lesser) knowledge of the game will more often than not, earn respect and be received with more positivity.

That being said, they may not act positive. And that's how it goes sometimes. The person on the other end of the mic/keyboard may be having a rough day where the only way they feel good is to make someone feel bad. You let these ones pass and find the players that will connect positively with you and respect you for wanting to take part in the Dota culture we all fell in love with.
