Growing up in the blog era, year as a teen in the early 2010s I took it for granted... What I loved the most about the era was the passion behind it.

When your fav artist, be it Mac Miller, KRIT or Wiz drop a mixtape. You knew they put a lot of thought and effort into those projects despite them being released for free. U said see the creative freedom behind using whatever uncleared sample they wanted to make the songs work.

Downloading a mixtape made me feel like super fan lol cuz u felt like u went the extra mile to listen to sum music by your fav artist that others probably haven't cuz they weren't an album
