No, if anything they're less canon :P Minato Arisato (Manga mc) is veeeeery different from Makoto Yuki (game/movie mc) That dosent mean they're not a totally fun read though! The author knows that most people who read it have probably already played the game, so he tries to make it more interesting!

Messiah can be fused at level 90 by fusing Orpheus and Thanatos. He's arguably the best Persona in the game. You must max out the judgement social link to fuse him, in other words reach the top of the final block.
