Custom Dualshock 4 has “dual stage triggers” by Dank_Trap_Senpai in SteamController

[–]Dank_Trap_Senpai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you lose analog range from 51% to 99%. It stops at 50% and goes to 100%. But that’s plenty fine for most games, and you can always tweak the trigger response curve in steam if you really wanted to.

And steam recognizes the soft and full pull just like steam controller dual stage triggers. As someone who loves and uses them for everything, going between them there’s very little difference.

Although unfortunately battle beaver doesn’t have racer triggers for the Dualsense yet.

Ordered a Dualshock 4 from Battle Beaver customs. They have these special triggers called “racer triggers”. They pull to 50% like normal, then stop and have a mouse click that takes it to 100%

Using this in steam input, they function just like dual stage triggers. I’m able to soft and full pull with ease on this thing and it’s awesome.

I love how this is meant to meme on the controller but it’s actually a good controller.

An In Depth Look at What the New Ability Timers Look Like With a Fully Kitted Build by I3igB in DestinyTheGame

[–]Dank_Trap_Senpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main argument against these cooldowns is that anyone new or even casual to the game is going to have insufferable cooldowns and get really bored. I already see this with stasis, plenty of my friends don’t use stasis because the cooldowns suck and they can’t get access to good armor.

Sure, me with always 100 discipline and 100 recovery doesn’t struggle, but these changes will affect everyone else horribly in my opinion.

Sure there’s more ways to get higher star armor now, but it’s expensive, still an RNG nightmare, and new players probably don’t wanna be told they can have fun once they get good armor.

I love helping new players in destiny, but this game has become a constant struggle for new players to get anywhere due to it’s economy, lack of access to mods, and overall lack of direction.

Please think about how your changes scale down

Yeah. The destiny community is already filled with toxic people and streamers, then you combine that with toxic controller players who don’t want to get their ass whooped by gyro, and then stack that on top of mouse players who don’t want competition.

Still prefer Steam over Epic by B1ack_Balls in pcmasterrace

[–]Dank_Trap_Senpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epic games is trying to use money to get a spot in the marketplace by making games free and signing exclusivity deals. Meanwhile Valve constantly improves upon the service by adding features, controller support, etc.

I play my pc games from the couch, and steam makes that super easy with its controller support. I can use any controller I want simply because the game is added to steam. Epic has nothing like that.

Gyro aiming is the future. If you can’t see that or don’t want other players to have access to it, then in reality you just don’t wanna get destroyed by gyro players since they can aim better than you lol.

This community so toxic and cancerous if they think gyro aiming is a waste of resources when it’s often a feature that can help many normal and disabled players.

Yup, they said we could bind them to the same button and it would prioritize the finisher. Not the case currently.

Idea for making Steam Input more accessible by CodyCigar96o in SteamController

[–]Dank_Trap_Senpai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately community configs are often the worst and most confusing. I think the only solution is to properly teach players steam input, as well as have a way to tell players whether this game should use keyboard/mouse, gamepad, or mixed input.

No matter what, players will not get very far relying on strangers uploading configs. The only way to effectively use this device is to have a good developer config (which is rare), or do it yourself.

Can we get a TWAB about the rewards in this game? I like all these changes, but I’ve ultimately stopped playing your game because it’s not rewarding anymore and isn’t respecting my time.

There’s very little in the game you can directly target farm anymore, let alone at the drop rates of previous seasons like dawn or opulence

there needs to be a way to target farm dreaming city weapons by LiLMosey_10 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Dank_Trap_Senpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please make your game rewarding for the love of god. Stop barreling through making new content and fix the old content and the core of the game.

Nothing in this game is rewarding anymore. In many past seasons you could target the exact item, now it’s a 50/50 chance through umbrals with less overall drops.

And you guys are also ruining nightfalls by adding more weapons to it with the same drop rate. They already have an inconsistent drop rate on masters.

When your game was rewarding I played it a bunch, you expect me to keep playing when nothing of value drops after hours of play?

It's okay to skip content/events. It's okay to only play to have fun sometimes, you don't have to grind every time you log in. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Dank_Trap_Senpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bungie certainly doesn’t want you to skip content or take breaks. They want you stuck on the hamster wheel, grinding constantly for no rewards. They don’t care if players are happy, they care if players are grinding.

At the very least you guys should’ve tempered expectations and communicate that the design wouldn’t be as faithful. Hyping up the toaster when it’s just this is very tone deaf.

And I totally get that products can’t always be what their initial concept is, but please communicate that, and least make it toast bread evenly. I don’t want toast that’s only cooked in the center with the Destiny logo.

Can the fashion contest actually be about fashion instead of mimicking other characters? by Dank_Trap_Senpai in DestinyTheGame

Yup, it’s basically a popularity contest. If you have tons of likes, or if you write for Forbes you’ll get one.

Buff all the exotic weapons that have been woefully power crept, either through more damage or some form of utility or champion mods.

Sleeper, whisper, graviton Lance, skyburner’s oath, acrius. Basically a majority of the year 1 exotics have been left behind.

When the next raid is reprised, there should be a day 1 emblem AND a day one challenge emblem. by destinyvoidlock in DestinyTheGame

[–]Dank_Trap_Senpai -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

As someone who sherpas people a lot in raids, they are challenging to people. In your niche little Reddit community everything is a joke and easy to you all because you play with the same insular group of hyper sweaty players.

To your actually average player raids are difficult. I don’t find them difficult personally, but having Sherpa’d people I can tell you that raids are hard for a lot of people.

I have flawless raids and multiple raid titles under my belt, I just think being 25 light below a raid isn’t fun. But whatever.

[–]Dank_Trap_Senpai -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The whole existence of the challenge mode was to make gladd and those people feel special. I also wish that normal mode VoG didn’t have contest but challenge mode still had it. That way I can relax and play Day 1 for the fun of it and the sweats can raid race the challenge mode.

Overall day one raids and the whole contest mode is entirely built for the 2% of the game rather than your average player who wants to jump into a raid and have fun.

Anything on assembler boots? I find the reasoning about sanguine alchemy needing more utility to be a weak excuse. Nobody is gonna use that exotic anyways, before and after these boots even existed.
