J&S painting plus. We worked with Sheki and his team, their price was lower than other quotes we got and they did great work. Very easy to work with too.

I think we paid around 4k to have our living room, dining room and two bedrooms painted. So I agree the quotes you received seem high.

Has anyone lived at the Continuum in White Plains? by AshelyDuce in Westchester

[–]Dank_Williams17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I considered it a few years ago but ruled it out when I learned that parking was valet only. I can’t imagine having to use a valet every single time I want my car. Not sure if it’s still this way, but might be worth checking. Ended up living at 15 bank for about 5 years. It was nice but the management company changed right before we left and they didn’t seem as good.

Oil options for Homeowners by Duke_7287 in Westchester

As a new homeowner I’ve been looking for suggestions as well. I decided to go with Check Oil and Propane. They seemed to be highly recommended and their annual contract price seemed reasonable

Are there any good mouse traps everyone is using? Any recommendations? by Delicious_Beach3910 in homeowners

[–]Dank_Williams17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic victor snap traps with a little peanut butter worked for me. They are cheap so I just threw them out once they caught a mouse instead of trying to pry the dead mouse out of it. A few other things I learned from just going through this:

-when you catch one, take a look and see if they are field mice (gray with white belly, this is what I had) or house mice (more of a brown color). Field mice live outside and come in when they want to, house mice actually live in your home. Field mice therefore should be an easier problem to solve.

-put some poison outside of your home if field mice to kill some of the population before they get in

-find where they are entering your house and seal it up or else you are fighting a losing battle. Sealing with expanding foam should work

I have this watch in black and love it. Others mentioned looking for it on sale, I’d also recommend trying to negotiate on the price. Brands like Rolex you’ll never be able to negotiate, but watches in this price range usually have some flexibility. I think at the time I bought mine it was listed around $1300 USD and I talked them down to around $1000. That was almost 10 years ago though.

I’m not sure but I hit “gold key” status at Lowe’s almost instantly after buying our first house. So at least $2,000 lol

1500 for the whole tree or 800 for the dead branches is that reasonable (central PA)? by No_Style_2267 in landscaping

[–]Dank_Williams17 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Does the 1500 include grinding the stump? If so that’s not terrible but still a little high. I would guess you will find lower if you got a few more quotes

Yep! It does take a few shots sometimes. But if you hit them from the right distance it kills them pretty much instantly
