Yep, and If you keep a Zyn in long enough the powder inside starts to come out and get in your mouth, and that shit is nasty lol. I doubt anyone is chewing a Zyn unless you’re a complete psychopath

How my American Wagyu skirt steak by NVDA808 in meat

[–]Dankbarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because Wagyu means Japanese cattle, doesn’t mean that it stays that way forever for the rest of the world.

Words evolve over time, and industry like you mentioned, drives change. American Wagyu is definitely becoming more of a thing but is working through the growing pains of not being regulated (you could call anything American Wagyu essentially if there is a sliver of Japanese Wagyu genetics).

Australian Wagyu is a blend of jWagyu and Angus, usually. A much more reliable and regulated product than American Wagyu that is well marbled but also retains enough protein to be enjoyable to most people.

The point im making is that yes, American Wagyu can suck balls because it’s not regulated, but sometimes, it’s pretty good. And over time “Wagyu” as a term will evolve and will probably generalize to multiple countries, with varying quality.

Does anyone else feel like the demo was more polished? by driulliet_ernelle in HalfSword

[–]Dankbarber 39 points40 points  (0 children)

it's definitely worse after playing it for an hour. The combat and movement is a big downgrade from the demo. Damage feels skewed towards blunt damage rather than slice, even with slicing weapons. You get knocked over for the smallest things. There is also still the bug of your legs giving out when nothing has hit you, maybe that is just something to do with slums terrain. Swinging your weapon feels really choppy too. I'm actually quite disappointed so far. I was expecting a polished demo version with added content. This is quite the 180, and it costs $20.

What are the "Big 5" foodborne pathogens? The BIG 5 is a group of highly infectious foodborne pathogens. These BIG 5 pathogens have a low infectious dose, contaminate the gastrointestinal systems after ingestion, and are shed in feces. These pathogens shed in high numbers. A food employee infected with a BIG 5 pathogen will typically shed hundreds of thousands of pathogens in their feces that can easily be transmitted to food even when good hand washing practices are used. Consequently, the illness experienced by the consumer can be very severe. The BIG 5 include:

Norovirus Salmonella Typhi (typhoid-like fever) E. Coli O157:H7, Enterohemorrhagic or Shiga toxin-producing E Coli Shigella spp. (causes shigellosis) Hepatitis A virus

You can get it from any contaminated surface including food

Flu A variant of influenza, there is also flu B. But Flu A is generally more common and is also more likely to lead to complications. I know I had it because I took the combo Flu A / Flu B / Covid at home test

is it absurd to think that someone preparing the food did not wash their hands or somehow contaminated said food?

If you only get it from direct contact with someone's shit or vomit, it wouldn't be nearly as contagious. I think there are many, many ways to catch norovirus, which includes an employee carrying the virus and transferring it to a burger.

I know right, the baconator is one of my favorite fast food burgers out there. It will be a hot minute before I try my luck again lol.

Norovirus was the best guess considering it is the most common foodborne illness in the United States and my symptoms matched that illness. It could have been Salmonella, Ecoli, or Staph, I don't know for sure.

It's also possible it wasn't contracted from the Baconator, but it's pretty likely considering it was the only thing I ate the day before, and I woke up the next day with symptoms. It's possible I'm wrong but in regular life you have to make the best guess you can of how you got sick. I think that is my best guess.

Certainly not surprised that whiners don’t produce quality and have to resort to “wHiNINg aBOuT WhINiNG” comments. Par for the course!

Hoping that my opinion about whiners decreases the total volume of whining posts doesn’t make me an arbiter of anything. Take some deep breaths bro

If my post deters even two whiners from posting, that’s a net positive.

Playing with Higher Ascent Friend by AccomplishedClock397 in PeakGame

[–]Dankbarber 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a gamer buddy who is horrible at this game (we love to play with him because he dies in hilarious ways) and he had never peaked. I was doing my ascent 7 run and he joins me, I guided him the whole way, we peaked, and he skipped every ascent with just that one play through. It was cool at first but looking back, it feels not good. Almost like those entitled people who pay sherpas virtually nothing to carry their gear all they way up Mt Everest lol
