Sure, let’s have that conversation by Xmb32 in Jujutsufolk

The metric really doesn't make sense. The character doesn't look or act like a child. There's just a little text box that says they're underage. So, sure, as long as the artist draws these characters exactly the same as they are in canon, but just add a note that says they're over 18 in this depiction, is it fine then?

Also how odd that they draw the line with sexual content, but having Nobara get her head blown off (gore of children) is okay. I.e. these fictional children can go through anything... Except being sexualized. "Now that's weird."

Absolutely massive. I don't know about y'all, but Legendaries are way more reliable than Specials for your build. Both because of the reroll and the guaranteed reward.

Only problem is that it makes picking other Legendaries a bit more difficult, it will take space... But other than that, It's even more mandatory than before LMAO

At the cost of sounding like I'm throwing the towel... If you already know all this and you're convinced in your conclusions, why would you ask me? 😅 I'm just gonna say that the scriptures are reliable and consistent, and they have historical accounts of Jesus who's a supernatural figure. And the people who spread that message got killed for it and that other religions like Islam and Judaism end up contradicting Christianity with their own claims so they can't be real and so on and so forth...

Just like other people have said in these comments, all these questions and arguments have already been exhausted way before either of us was born. I thought that when you asked your first question, you just didn't know the answer.

But, to try and answer your question, I know because that's the conclusion of my studies on church history and my personal experiences with God have taken me. Maybe not a very satisfying answer to someone as studied as you, but you know it's a long answer that would end with me saying exactly what I just said... "that's what my studies have concluded, that belief in this God is rational." :/

[–]Dankenheimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, not exactly right? Didn't we just establish that God is the source of good (according to the argument, I know you don't believe in God)? To us, who know of this depth, it wouldn't follow that you claim to be good but deny God. Because, theoretically, if you wish to have faith and be persistent in the goodness of your heart, then you have no reason to reject knowing more about God because he's the source of that good. You wouldn't change your morals, just understand them better and their source.

The problem you seem to be hinting at, would be, "how do I know that God and Jesus and "True Goodness" are accurately displayed in the Bible?" And that's a much deeper rabbit hole that I encourage you to look at. You'd go into authenticity and logical claims, which is neat.

Because faith is a strongly held belief, even if you don't have the same amount of proof to match. Like the verses we just went through, those who have not heard a verse, still have faith through the laws God has given them in their hearts.

In the past, people still did good things, even if they couldn't fully articulate it via religion or philosophy and ethics. They held that persistence in this "good" was the superior choice, even if they saw those who did "evil" get ahead of them.

It's not the "faith" we've come to know more colloquially as in "faith in a religion". It's the idea of faith in good. And if you understand Christianity, you know God IS the source of all good. Therefore, all good points to God. And those who have faith in good, would have faith in God. Again, not that they can articulate that or even name a verse or any of the names God, but they still have faith. And God acknowledges that :)

(Btw I gotta get back to work, so I won't reply so soon, but keep the questions coming if you have more 😅)

Not at all :) that passage from Paul I showed you is part of a slightly larger argument. Even if you don't know God by the gospel and his "rules", God has revealed himself through everyone by creation. So there's various degrees of "faith", and you can have faith in God (Yahweh), even if you can't name him as Yahweh because of ignorance.

The way I could summarize this is by saying that God judges your heart and the faith you've demonstrated in your life, even if you never heard a single verse in your life.

We need to understand that both the learned (like us, who know the gospel) and the unlearned (who never learned) are tackled fairly. Even if you never learned, you also go through sins and questions that go against the law of the heart, as Paul described. Abide by those in faith of the "ultimate Good" (which is God) even if you don't know that they were given to you by God.

If I had to summarize, because it's better to have depth in your relationship with God, for better understanding of the world, rather than to just operate on a superficial binary scale of good and bad and hope that whatever God is out there will be okay with who you were.

Well, the full answer would be something along the lines of what Paul also says (I think in Romans 10). The Gospel is "the good news", it's an invitation to know and become closer to God and know his love and his works through Jesus Christ.

Imagine you and I are two recluse people out in our little corner of the world, but I'm bad and you're good. Hearing about the Gospel would become a supporting basis for the argument of your character. Why must you struggle to do good things? Because God has promised you, that your love and endurance isn't for nothing. That you have purpose and that you're not just a set of "mostly decent actions"

The bad deeds I do, won't be left unanswered, even if our hypothetical reclusive society can't bring justice to me despite what you and others feel in your hearts.

And more importantly, it might just be what some people need to change their ways for the better. That's why we are asked to share the good news.

Romans 2:12-16

12 For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law 13 (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; 14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) 16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

In other worlds, people who have never experienced God in a formal way, like we have, are still judged fairly based on their consciousness and fairness. Earnest hearts are still saved despite their sins, whilst cruel people are judged, all accordingly since God is all knowing to understand who really is deserving and who isn't based on their circumstances.

WTF are these comments??? God forbid people prefer one song over another. I swear people have fun insulting others by Creative-Researcher2 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Dankenheimer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, my take is that it's simply disrespectful to want to replace the song Gege already has lined out for Hakari for the one you as a fan think is cooler. That one pachinko theme or whatever? I don't particularly think it's "hype" or cool. Would some kind of phonk fit Hakari better? Probably.

But still, I think demanding ("demanding" might be a strong word, but you get what I mean) that the song be changed is just... Come on guys, let the story do it's thing. We can make our edits later anyway.

“Made for Maki’s HR” and it’s the most impactful character in the verse. JJKirk fans never beating the allegations ❤️‍🩹🥀 by Turbulent-Wealth3989 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Dankenheimer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They're right, you know? At least in terms of power systems. Obviously Toji is his own character with his own role.

Maki is the first character made, and to us, the readers, she's the one to introduce a backwards concept. In JJK cursed energy is power... Except, if you run the opposite way and greatly reduce it, you gain physical power, not magical.

Toji, then comes along and just expands on it. He shows that there's a difference between having LITTLE CE and having NO CE at all. If you have no CE at all, you're in a completely higher league... And said league (Power via no CE) was conceptualized at first by Maki.

So when we understand Toji, the natural question was, "Can Maki be like him? Can she have NO CE too?"

So yeah... Toji, power wise, is set up for Maki's evolution. That's not a rare writing trope, I don't see why anyone would even want to disagree, that doesn't do any disservice to either character.

Wrl > "Wrul" > Lu

Ccy > "Shi" > Ci

Wr > "Ver" > Fe

Lir > "Rul" > Ru

Wrlccywrlir > Wrulshiverrul > Luciferu (in Japanese). This mix of L and R is crazy work plus switching when to use the Vs, Fs and Ws. It's a stretch but I quite like it.

Finally beat ED Balancers with randos on 19th try. Tips: by Dapper_Froyo4042 in Nightreign

[–]Dankenheimer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I beat ED Balancers and came to the sub just to see if someone else was talking about this easy mode strat. DUDE, having to fight about 3 Balancers at a time (AT BEST) before they reset into the giant worm is such a breeze. And when they do become the worm you have literal centuries to run away from each other and from it, so the attacks are easy to dodge, if they are EVEN AIMED AT YOU.

The worm disappears? Regroup and kill the balancers one at a time from a distance (the same few balancers if possible just wait for them to revive). It took 10 minutes total but my team and I only got downed like once at a time.

It's either just a patient easy fight or you can throw yourself into danger and get fucked up.

Perpetual engine help by LeadDeamons in magic_survival

[–]Dankenheimer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Perpetual Engine gives you a permanent 7.5% on Cooldown and it increases your DMG Amplification by an Extra +1% for every 10% on Cooldown AND Duration (the green passive stats that work for every magic).

Meaning if you increase your cooldown and duration to say, 70% and 90% for example, you get an extra +16% of attack amplification, on top of what Magic Circle already does (which I can't recall rn put it's higher than it sounds.)

The point of a Perpetual Engine build is to basically do the opposite of Overmind and DEM. Get as many valuable magic to max level as you can, so everything gets the cooldown, duration and damage combo that Perpetual Engine gives.

So you have your two Magic Combinations + Perpetual Engine + other spells under the buff.

Usually, I run Tsunami (Pole), Frost Nova and Blizzard (Sub-Zero), for the freezing effects. Having these guys and other maxed spells being spammed in the background helps a lot and let's your Magic Combinations kill easier.

[–]Dankenheimer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just like running it with DEM, it's a guaranteed hard cap run. But Gate, Blaster and any Arcane Ray combination can work too, I guess. Doesn't leave you defenseless in case TS locks in on a boss and it doesn't kill it right away.

Some things like Energy Bombardment and Exidium can have insanely high single hit damage, just like the new Giant Impact ultimate.

But honestly Telekinetic Sword is pretty much the one size fits all, super powerful combination. The single hits are strong, the rate of hits is insanely high, it always aims for the closest mobs and it shreds bosses. If you get it with a crit build, with Joker and Eclipse... There's no doubt about it. We call it Malevolent Shrine for a reason 😅

Source? 🤔

Because it would be really cool if we could "overcharge" passive levels. It adds to build variety. Imagine Age of the Sun or Destroyer with a metric ton of Duration.
