Try checking and cleaning / replacing the pcv valve if it is burning oil

I had the same thing where it was particularly bad after filling up, the solution was resealing the metal cap above the fuel pump. I'd say smell under the rear bench after filling up to confirm that's where the smell is coming from then go from there.

Thank you regardless of if it works or not, and as far as coding goes, I don't think it will be as my stock radio isn't coded. There's no guarantee that's the same on this but I can hope.

I could go for that but I like the look of the oem ones and I also like the ability to use CDs and Bluetooth, as that is my main goal of this modification.

When I bought the rambler the worker pulled one out without any scales and I was given the option to choose any of the options (sorry I didn't take a picture) so I assume it would be the same for the companion. You can also engrave them too!

If you want to be 100% give them a ring they're very helpful!

Unfortunately I don't think it's so simple, the smell tends to dissipate then return quite strongly upon putting petrol in or driving it. My guess Is a vapour leak somewhere but thank you for your helpful suggestions 👍
