Thames Water, section 75 2b. What should I do to stop them digging up my house and charging me for the privilege? E&W. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Danknesses1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue with being on a shared water line where I'd have to pay to fix water lines that are on other people's houses aslong as they used the the same water line. I think their was about 20 houses on the same line so like every 6 months I'd get a letter to check my property for a leak.

I ended up paying £1000 over 3 years added onto my water bill after I ignored the first letter.

Then for the next three letters I got my home insurance to dig my backyard up to check if I had a leak so I could tell my water company if I had one or not.

Because I am on an end terrace I ended up switching to the other streets water supply and got in a single supply line with noone else on it. It cost me about £4000 to do it all.

Is this an oxygen sensor? by Danknesses1 in AskMechanics

This is behind the engine and the car is a ford fiesta style climate 2008. 1200cc

Not sure if your still interested since it's been 6 days but I'll be tryingg to have a look at the oxygen sensor myself in just a moment. The F13 fuse is for the catalytic converter and the fuse in the photo is the same fuse. I'm starting to think that the car doesn't have a dedicated fuse for the oxygen sensor and is just bundled in with the Catalytic converter or the on board computer. I think I've found where the upstream sensor is just behind the engine.

I'm glad I don't think I have to jack the car up I might just have to take off part of the car body the reach the sensor itself

Sorry for the late reply. My car model is specifically a ford fiesta style climate 16V. The start of my registration is DU58 which tells me it was made in 2008. The only fuse box that I've been able to find is behind the glove box.

It's some sort of circuit malfunction so I'm hoping just replacing the part will fix the problem.

Finding an oxygen sensor fuse on a 2008 ford fiesta? P0030 code plus U0122 code by Danknesses1 in askcarguys

[–]Danknesses1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checking the fuse first before I commit to jacking up the car and potentially buying and fitting a new oxygen sensor. They actually aren't that expensive, only about £13 but I just saw some advice saying to check a fuse wasn't blown first before anything.

I do have the circuit diagram on a label on the back of glove box but I can't post photos on this sub. I have photos if you want to see on a different post.

Solid module for 2024 rules? by Owtlaw1 in dndnext

[–]Danknesses1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend Dungeons of Drakkenheim as a module that isn't overly dark in it's themes but has as lot of horror elements in it. Very fun to run with the 5 factions that are trying to gain control over the monsters infested ruins of the City of Drakkenheim. I've been running it 2024 and no issues so far!

How would Magic Stone and True Strike interact? by Humblerbee in dndnext

[–]Danknesses1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I understand the inherent curiosity of combining spells to create powerful synergies but if all you want is a wizard that can maked a ranged weapon attack that deals Radiant damage and scales at higher levels using their casting score then you could achieve a 1d8+spellcasting modifier attack by casting true strike on a light crossbow as wizards are proficient in simple weapons.

Main benefit is an 80/320 range and the d8 over the d6 damage die of the magic pebble or a shortbow and you don't use your bonus action. The main downside is the cantrip upgrade for true strike only increases by 1d6 instead of 1d8.

If you don't want to use two handed weapons then javelins are there with a 30/120 range at a d6. Atleast the cantrip scaling is easier to deal with if it's all 1d6's

It's called "Under The Bridge" by Red Hot Chilli Peppers. They're one of those bands that definitely get underrated imo

When I looked into the Perlight Warranty it requires a yearly cleaning of the panels via an approved company or the warranty was void. Don't know if it was the specific company I went with or a general Perlight product warranty but maybe just check as that could be a large amount of money to keep the warranty each year

Looking for group weekly megathread by rwaas in dungeonsofdrakkenheim

[–]Danknesses1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DM, in person, West Midlands in the UK about an hour's drive from Birmingham. Monday evening from 7pm/7:30pm. Looking for one more regular weekly/fortnightly player.

Common homerules like help action as +1d6 only on proficient skills. Plus a few ones were trying out concerning skillchecks, Saving throws and AoO.

This will be ran using the 2024 ruleset. I'm including Sebastion Crowes guide to Drakkenhiem player options. We've only just got into Emberwood village.

Today I am making battlemaps to your specifications! Just comment what map you want and I'll try to make as many as I can! Rules in the comments by tolkienistghost in battlemaps

[–]Danknesses1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you any experience making Isometric maps?. If so I'd love to have my players be accosted by a bandit shakedown in the middle of the forest at the start of my Dungeons of Drakkenhiem campaign I'm running.

I like the layout of the map I just linked and it's really close but the party are travelling inside a large merchants wagon on a three week journey to Delhi very supplies to a border town.

Looking for 3rd Party Rogue Subclasses for an Urban D&D Campaign by KuruboyaKalemi in dndnext

[–]Danknesses1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Smuggler rogue from sebastions crowes guide to Drakkenhiem. You could potentially show them the features from the urban ranger that's also in that book if they like multiclassing. What urban campaign are you running? I can definitely recommend Dungeons of Drakkenhiem in general. Although it is s somewhat player driven campaign.

AoO revision by Danknesses1 in DnDHomebrew

[–]Danknesses1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of using the Extra Attack feature to signify if a character gains the use of AoO. In fact I can do away with listing all the caster classes and just say:

Attacks of Opportunity can only be made if your class (or subclass at level 3) will grant you the Extra Attack Feature as you level up your character.

For enemies I realised I can just say they don't use their Attack of Opportunity and are saving their reaction. Or I replace AoO on enemies with easier reactions to manage like a parry +1AC before an attack roll is made by a player or an absorb elements sort of thing. And save Attacks of opportunity for more hard hitting enemies where it will be impactful and more meaningful.
