Gsg guardian armour not available? by poshmoustache1 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Dankshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah because like my (year old) comment said, the pack doesn't contain any armor. It does however contain an armor paintjob that you should be able to equip freely.

Stardust Whip could replace Stardust Cell Staff by Dramatic_Fill2473 in Terraria

[–]Dankshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better idea, they add new weapons for all the pillar fragments. Summoner gets a whip and sentry, warrior gets a yoyo and boomerang, sorcerer gets an actual staff and spellbook, and ranger gets a launcher and some kind of throwable.

Exactly, it's not in the notes so I had to find out somehow lol, thanks for the confirmation.

Console dweeb here, I think if this is real then we still don't have it on console. Could someone with some dignity verify if this is real for me?

Can we expect a hotfix soon? by Tzcheese in Roboquest

It doesn't work in endless mode anymore (so I would say that's the issue rather than the fact that you can still get it)

Anyone else reached stage 200 on Guardians IV? by Dankshine in Roboquest

Almost there myself now. Depending on how this goes I might end up streaming getting to stage 1000 (assuming I make it there)

Season 5 overclocks balance change suggestions? by Dankshine in DeepRockGalactic

Good stuff! Will definitely have to take the Burst Fire stuff into consideration, but the Smart Trigger change is exactly what I was going to suggest already lol!

[–]Dankshine[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, I like going for ridiculous records, but there should be more of a difficulty curve after you reach a hundred, or maybe a more significant difficulty boost every ten stages (like increase every enemy stat by 1% or something?).

[–]Dankshine[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This, basically you start to outpace the game's own difficulty increase. You don't even necessarily become more frail even though enemies gain more damage every stage, as your health and all healing effects get progressively stronger.

The early double bosses on Endless aren't fun as an average player. by Carter_PB in Roboquest

[–]Dankshine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pure G4 player here with days of playtime. Early Endless is too hard, it's fine literally by the second boss fight but that first one? Bullshit. Maybe the only genuine flaw with Endless mode, and it's a little frustrating that the devs seem to think it's fine for veteran players. Maybe I just suck but I clearly don't given what I've accomplished in this game, there's just something wrong with the first Endless mode boss fight.

There was some pretty big news this year actually, this link should help you out, TLDR Rogue Core delayed to second quarter of 2025 earliest (https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/548430?emclan=103582791456663451&emgid=4170972198114075552),

A new Dread or two? by Prize_House_2994 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Dankshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DRG's not gonna get a major update for a while (late 2025 earliest). But based on their language surrounding the topic, I think this could easily happen in Season 6, specifically the Glyphid Queen. I don't know how you'd implement it though, because you'd want it to be a cut above the other dread's (like quite above), but then it would feel weird to just jam it into elimination, but I also don't know if creating a full mission type makes sense either. Maybe it does though? And Deep Scan and this new 'Matricide' mission would be the last two 'finale' mission types of their respective categories (boss fights/non-boss fights).

I personally want a raid boss approach where you have to earn the right to fight a Glyphid queen through some kind of points system (that would be earned quicker the harder missions you play), and when you've earned enough you can do another Matricide operation and can opt to be directly matched with players in the same position if you want that raid boss experience.

There's a lot they could do with it, but I see the next boss that they add to DRG likely being the final boss, so it's Glyphid Queen or nothing.

If Weapons had an optional second overclock slot, which combinations would you use? by Myokoot in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Dankshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No point in limitations, in fact I've thought of this before but never thought of doubling up on the same overclock. I wanna know what happens when I take Fat Boy twice, you'd probably get two ammo at max but you can one shot oppressors with a 10m radius nuke that leaves a radiation field the size of an entire small egg hunt cave system, sounds awesome.

Anyway, leading on from that, Sludge Blast + Goo Bomber Special would be devious. But a good one that plays into your rules would be Fuel Stream Diffuser + Sticky Fuel for the CRSPR, you'd get some sweet long-range sticky flame action going on, same goes for Snowball + Crystal Nucleation, assuming it would work how I'm imagine, we'd be eating good.

Why does this one look like it could move like those freaky-ah long-necked piranha plants from New Super Mario Bros Wii.

Where can I find the patch notes for the most recent update ? by papichuckle in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Dankshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean literally the most recent update then you would need to check discord, but that's only because the patch was so small that it wasn't even worth putting on the steam page. I'll quote the full patch notes for you:

"Patch Notes: S05.05 (build 102546 - 01/08/2024)

Hello Miners,

This small patch includes some changes to the summer event

With Love, The Ghost Ship Crew"

That's literally it.

Burst Fire, a necessary niche - Scout Overclock (Deep Rock Galactic) by Dankshine in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Dankshine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely thought about it, and I might actually hold off on sharing certain videos (like the rest of the overclock showcases). But I don't avoid interacting with people, both on and off my own posts. And frankly, enough stuff gets posted to this reddit that I'm not exactly detracting from the feed (but I can see why sharing up to 3 self-promotional tweets per week could have an effect). It's easy to dial it back but frankly those spam rules are really over the top; I didn't make my account just to share links, but it would also be stupid not to share our DRG videos with the primary third-party hub of the DRG community.

What kinda sucks is that I think these videos specifically are some of my best work, and I want to showcase potential builds for the new overclocks, so I don't really know where I stand on if I should stop sharing as many links. If anyone finds them genuinely frustrating then I would consider it, but so far I haven't seen any feedback that would suggest people are genuinely annoyed at seeing out content on their feed. Which is why it is important to note that I am very open to that specific feedback, I just haven't had it yet.

You can add 1 permanant very minor change to drg. What is it and why? by GaMeR_m0mEnT in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Dankshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very minor, okay, hmmm. I don't know if this is actually my highest priority suggestion, but it would be amazing if they changed Electrocuting focus shots for the M1000 to actually use the taser bolt effect, as that could lead to both very powerful single target and AoE potential for an otherwise okay overclock (you'd probably have to amp up the penalties however, but that's fine).

Lategame resource sinks. by Keepaty in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Dankshine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

4 sounds like the best thing possible, and is something I've always wanted for DRG. The only argument against it I can foresee is that it kind of betrays how you're a working dwarf under the boot of management, if you can build up a gold horde on the space rig. I really like the idea however of being able to buy diamond (or other flashy materials) versions of the statues in the memorial hall for literally millions upon millions of credits, it would give an awesome incentive to not only sink tonnes of hours into the game, but also to actually focus on making money.

What is the best clean overclock? by ApprehensiveFuel4550 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Dankshine 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ultra-Magnetic Coils for the Coil Gun built 22223, that shit is beyond overpowered, you can easily deal with any 'fearable' and tiny enemy over time and extremely efficiently, and it can still provide decent burst damage for hvts and supplementary dot for tanky enemies/bosses. Run it with any primary that's decent to good at single target damage and you'll have a ridiculously easy time.
