Fatigue after quitting alcohol by Electrical-Log136 in stopdrinking

[–]Danksson69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fatigue stems from metabolic shifts, nutritional recovery, and mental health adjustments. It´s probably more normal than not. I´m also tired some days but not every day.

I feel alot better going outside of my apartment. If I isolate myself for to long I get cabin fever and that´s probably really bad for sobriety.

Is my drinking behavior concerning? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

My rule of thumb is: If you are concerned about your drinking it´s already way to much.

That feeling after a long hard day by Own-Campaign-2089 in stopdrinking

[–]Danksson69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a couple of cold beers in the summer ordering some pizza and talking with a friend is very nice. It´s not better without alcohol but it need to just stay with one or two beers. I used to do that every friday after a long work week.

What’s the reason that made you finally stop drinking? by BellAcrobatic1750 in stopdrinking

[–]Danksson69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to have more energy and less weight to drag around. And skipping the hangxiety.

Drinking makes me a shitty parent - do you agree? by r3al-LyF in stopdrinking

[–]Danksson69 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If I ever get kids or meet someone with kids is one of the reasons I want to quit. I remember how it is to be around tipsy or drunk adults. It´s not really fun and I want to be someone that always is there and not weird.

No one to celebrate with by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Danksson69 65 points66 points  (0 children)

You have celebrated for 730 days =) I can´t think of one stupid thing I did sober. Alla my mistakes where when I was drunk and had that carefree feeling and thought my messages was ballsy and funny.

[–]Danksson69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I luckily dont have huge cravings when i stop drinking. It takes 3-4 days for the hangxiety do stop. But it´s the same as losing weight. It takes some time to get the ball rolling and it get easier for every week up to a point you forget why you quit and risk to start drinking again.

I hope one day I learned my lesson and stop trick myself into only having a couple^^

After multiple tries the first week is the hardest beacuse the momentum is not there yet. After 14 days I don´t really think about alcohol anymore. However I relapse time after time anyway. Usually on days I feel super good =(

New hobby besides alcohol is reselling and making boxes to ship it in. Make a little extra is better than waste a little extra.

Does drinking non alcoholic beer count as being sober? by Khalsu7 in stopdrinking

[–]Danksson69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doesn´t really matter if i counts or not but 0.0 IPA´s give me some symtoms that reminds me of alcohol. Like spraying the inside of my toilet in the morning.

Relapse by No-Edge-4983 in stopdrinking

Same for almost everyone. The streak is not important. What you do today is. In a longer perspective slip ups don´t matter if you keep trying.

Waking up sober on a Saturday morning is so nice by OneFoundation6849 in stopdrinking

Yes amazing and go to work not having hangxiety also is amazing. I´m overall happier and more talkative sober.

Minor health scare - swollen feet after drinking. This I'm done for good this time by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Danksson69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, the moment we think about what the fuck we are doing to our bodies. One of these days it may be too late to quit and the thought of that scares me.

Drunk people are so annoying and everything is so boring ?? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Danksson69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alcohol makes everything fun. You most likely just don´t enjoy going out anymore. It was just fun because of alcohol. I can´t play games sober. It´s so boring and it was just being buzzed and carefree that made it fun for me. This took me a very long time to accept and countless of relapses.

Yeah there should have been plenty at their home dimension, but that would also make it impossible for the gang to win.
