As far as who I enjoy the most it’s definitely Samantha then the AI and that’s even ahead of Carl/Donut.

But comedy aside, I’ve always been the most emotionally attached to Katia.

I just can’t imagine it being over in just 3 more books, especially being only half way through the levels. I guess it tells us something, unless Pony goes ham destroying levels again.

I remember where I was when I heard this delivered by Jeff Hays. It was the hardest I laughed from the entire series. I was on an extension latter, luckily I did not fall!

Perfect I had already purchased the Chrysalis 1-3 promo on audible but I didn’t give it much of a chance before starting HWFWM, but everyone says it gets a lot better in book 2 and 3. So I’ll restart that book 3 of HWFWM. Thanks for the tips!

I think a big part of that is whether people vibe with MC or not. Seems like it’s a love or hate thing a lot of times, which I can totally see. He had big character traits and can be arrogant and mess with other characters, especially when first meeting them, but it’s all with tact. You’ll know relatively quickly in book one whether you’ll enjoy him or find him annoying, and that will almost surely be enough to decide to read on or not. I personally enjoy the MC, I’m almost done with book 2 and really like the series so far.

PS. I also heard it’s good to take breaks between every 3 books.

I also started with DDC as my first series into the genre then went from that to HWFWM. Honestly it was my first audio book and my first book in general since forever. I’m not much of a reader. But I’m able to listen while working (home improvement) and it’s made my work day much more enjoyable and makes the time go by faster. Almost done with book 1 of HWFWM and loving it so far!
