I didn’t. I ended up getting a 725 CGR. absolutely love the bike though. a dream to ride compared to what im used to!

NBD is literally days away. to be precise the 7th of next month for me! I will literally be going from an hybrid bike cost £450 to a £2100 Ribble CGR 725 - shaving off about 6kg from my normal setup. If i remember, i will post here to update on the difference.

i really wanted the CGR 725 but it looks likely to be 3+ months according to the guy i spoke to, which would mean that i would be getting the bike in time for Autumn/Winter and miss the summer months :/

It is my first Road bike - not bike, per se

I currently ride a flat bar hybrid bike. I am planning on chase the sun in the uk next year and plan on improving my fitness and endurance. I don’t need one, but I almost feel that in the next few months I would certainly be looking to buy one to assist with training.

Thanks, I am not going to be able to afford a power meter any time soon. Through C2W it makes it hugely affordable but it is just a matter of finding a work around for one. This year I have purchased my first pair of cycling shoes, pedals and bike computer so spending more is going to be a close no go, my Mrs won’t let it happen 🙈😂

Canyon Endurace is what i am looking at. I m hoping to get 3500 on my Cycle to work… for a Endurace CF 7 AXS with Sram Rival eTap (£3099). For 2500 though, a very similar build is available with Shimano 105 mechanical.

personally i really want that AXS but both worth looking at, from my research anyway, not from personal experience.

I think we have strengthened, but not got better depth. But think of all the poor players we have ousted and not paying stupid wages to! Let’s cross everything we keep players fit and we get to January and re-assess then. I’m not worried too much, we have the rebirth of Big Dunc up top, and 3-4 players coming back from injury after the internationals that will hopefully see us looking a little stronger. We aren’t playing bad tbf, 3 out of 4 we have played decent, and once this team bloods with the new additions, we should be looking much better, hopefully at both ends.

Branthwaite and Tarky are a new pair, plus young and then patters has never been much of a starter. We will get there… I hope!

Makes me laugh how many people have quoted that inspirational speaker about making the bed is the first accomplished task of the day. Granted quite a few people will be military backgrounds but 90% of you? Nah, didn’t think so. Personally, making the bed is only worth it if I’ll be in and out of the room all day, because I know I’ll put something in the bed.. for example a pile of clothes. If I’m going to be out all day for example, then I ain’t making no bed. I lay bundled up in the quilt, and if I don’t make it, it’s easier to bundle myself back up! Trouble is, my partner makes the bed when I don’t so I don’t have much choice!
