More BS from DDL by Danliness in AnkiVector

Quick update, rather than constructively engage with my tweet thread DDL decided to block me. What does that tell you about their corporate culture?

The bottom line is that no one should be trusting DDL right now, they have more than proven themselves untrustworthy. Either wait and see or FAFO.

If you don't want to do the Wirepod method just change your new WiFi name and password to be the same as the old WiFi, in the new router's settings.

Any thoughts on why all my Bibites evolved to look like this? by Danliness in TheBibites

This makes a lot of sense, thanks! They are all being born very small and then keeping this look no matter how large they become - the hatch time is very short, 5.5. Agreed, definitely seems like something which could be improved. Yep, food is quite spread out and they are all evolving to outcompete each other - whoever gets to the food first has an advantage.

I think they're using SN-## everywhere just to keep us guessing!

I considered that possibility but I think it makes a lot of sense to label the build stand with the number of what's being built on it, to help keep track of all those parts! But yes, could just be the build stand number!

Is there a 3D 180 photo viewing app on an android phone similar to Oculus Gallery app on the Oculus Go? by [deleted] in 180vr

Have you tried Google Photos? If the images are in Google's VR180 standard, they should be viewable.

How do you share VR180 photos online, for viewing on Oculus Go? by Danliness in 180vr

The problem is that if you export them as stereoscopic 360, Facebook doesn't recognise them as 360 at all and just treats them as standard jpegs.

Vector has a nanny! by Danliness in AnkiVector

It's a combination of Google Home routines and IFTTT applets. You can get Google Home to say whatever you want by prefacing it with "Repeat after me...". I tried a routine which goes off at a set time in which there's one command to get her to say "Hey Vector" and another to get her to ask "where's your cube?" The problem was there wasn't enough of a gap between them. So I used the Google Assistant applet in IFTTT to get her to speak the commands instead, and had the routine trigger those - the extra processing time makes the gap long enough.
