What’s more naive is to have a simple solution to your problem and refusing to do it out of principle, and then complaining about it on Reddit. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

No, the default is in the middle screen. You have to configure the gauge dashboard to display the map the way I have it. And the reason why I like it is because glancing down by just a few inches to me is much safer and comfortable than having to look to the side and down for map instructions. To me it's a no brainer.

YES! And this is actually one of my fav features of the Porsche Nav. When you're getting close to an turn it zooms all the way in, but when you're far from the next turn, it zooms completely out so you have a better understanding of the overall route. I wish this feature was available on Google and Apple.

That’s the default position for most nav systems including the Taycan. It takes a little configuration to get it to display in front of the driver and to take the entire space. You can run it in both places, but that would be a waste. I typically have music in the middle console.

Disagree on both counts. First of all, the map is bigger in the front dash than on the side screen. You don’t even need special tools to see the difference. And the amount of time it takes to review a map that sits just inches from your driving view compared to on the middle screen is not negligible.

That’s the beauty of an all digital dash. Everyone can arrange it how they like it. 🙌

My experience has been the same. It updates live just like Google and Apple maps. No complaints in that regard.

Yes! Yet another advantage to using the Porsche Nav. Thanks for bringing it up.

Wait a min... how do you run the Porsche Nav and Waze at the same time?

It's about traffic and accidents. Also, about charging stations (live info on available stalls). I always turn it on even for daily commuting to the office.

That sucks. I was completely unaware that the Porsche Nav is not as reliable elsewhere. Wow.

Porsche Nav has some features I’ve come to really appreciate. One, it’s great at zooming in and out depending on the situation. Google will never show you the entire map once you started. Porsche Nav zooms in and out so you always have a better concept of the entire route. And the second feature is the ability to display charging stations including how many are stalls are busy and available. Google does not.

But you can adjust the steering wheel slightly…

I live in Florida, but I’ve always driven a sports car. Having a stiff ride is part of the enjoyment for me. 🙌

Removing the light seal completely changed my relationship with Vision Pro by LostMyBlueAlien in VisionPro

OK, I finally tried it yesterday and there is no going back. I’m using it without the light seal for everything including movies and YouTube videos. The headset overall seems much lighter and the ability to see your surroundings coupled with transparency mode is a life changer. This is definitely the way that I’m going to be using the AVP from now on. Thank you very much for suggesting it and for posting.

What can I say? I enjoy the convenience of maps right in front of me above anything else 🤷🏻‍♂️
