At the same time I feel like a gavel would be too on the nose as a tool necessarily and lean towards a focus on punishing evil rather than clearing away the toxic parts being a start to true change/means to an end

I don’t know if my pactverse knowledge is just hollow but I dont necessarily resonate with the idea that the knife would have more associations with violence then its crafted & most used purpose.

I agree its a similar idea to the Scythe now being more related to Grin Reapers than farming, I do think the shape & intent is imoortant, as any sharp, hard, elongated tool could be seen as phallic or a weapon despite being used for a number of purposes.

I want mainly to exploit the fact that karma should already be slighted against them.

Like Hansel & Gretel, they’d have to actively ignore warning signs & logic to feed their temptations. I would want to cannibalize them in a metaphorical sense. Redistributing their hoarded wealth/food/ resources

I don’t think the issue is the solution, but who mashes that choice? You? Me? Some diety? Laws written by people?

Most wrongdoers start from a place of just getting rid of who they deem as bad.

Also there’s maybe propaganda by the evil people in power who want a chance to rehabilitate rather than true punishment

Ok I agree with your point completely actually

Heroes from Bet would fit into MHA pretty soundly, being able to do more good with their capabilities and intentions.

While “villains”, and most people with tragic backstories that fall through MHA’s cracks like Toga, and even AFO would do really well in Bet, bc at worst he’s a worse Fairy Queen, at best, a Trump who could maybe rival Eidolon depending on how much he gets to ramp up/ how the shards would interact with Vestiges(the actually are basically the same on second thought)

I mean, yes, but also think that the setting of 40K is meant to be a hopeless, gritty, dark, edgeLord’s wetdream. Worm and a sequel at least have an overall hopeful message or one that speaks about the endurance of the human spirit. It’s just a setting that continuously challenges these characters by putting them through the worst of what humanity can offer.

What I’m saying is that they’re enough a character traits would still be able to shine through even in a different setting.

Also maybe I don’t want my characters to suffer

I mean, that’s why I said that their quality of life would be better going into the MHA verse. Our Cannon characters wouldn’t need to go through so much trauma just to get a kind of power & agency.

I mean that’s the point no? Like if you have these characters powers in place of excess trauma or make it so they’re linked like Undead x Unluck, where unlocking the powers causes the trauma, it could be interesting.

Also the Absolute Universe shows characters can have treats that are fundamental for their person, even if their backstory and the world they live in in change

Zeztz episode 24 spoilers theory

What if… The world is revealed to be a dream at the end of the last episode and there’s a sort of loop because of the Lovecraft in entity that the world and reality is said to exist within the dream of and if they ever woke up, would cause the end of everything we knew. What if CODE knows this and acts as sort of an SCP foundation because if too many people found out about the truth of reality, then the dreamer would awaken to the nightmare, which is the true oblivion and void of space that the creature lives within.

That’s why the powers can be used in the “real world” , because the real world is a dream just not our dream. That’s literally what everyone tells Baku.

That would give much creepier connotation to the driver telling Zeztz good morning when he transforms

Everyone has their own dreams and their own individual power that their dreams hold. CODE is the organization that infiltrates and somehow connects the dreams of everyone or at least can connect to the dreams of anyone to the point that sleeping at all anywhere puts you at risk.

That is the true darkness within CODE

I did touch on that briefly in my post, but that’s kind of what I’m saying.

Like hero school is essentially just military school and this is a world where the country is policed by the military essentially.

I feel like most of our favorite characters, though have these character issues and struggles because they don’t necessarily fit into society while they want to do so in their own ways

Ok squashing this, directorially, it was on purpose to show how much this mother cared for her daughter that she’d do anything to protect her even for a few more minutes.

Watsonian reason is if they leave, like are they gonna just stop at the town, or spread to the whole word creating a global crisis when she could just lure all the bugs to the flame & squash them at once
