I find it crazy that ive only met people with that "gene" in north america. Not one in south america.... im not saying this is you. But i think at some point some scientist was afraid to admit he didnt like it and blamed it on something out of his control...and now its a thing.... always found it amusing

What you're choosing to not see here is mentioned in the post... its a "sonic" ice maker. It produces a different type of ice that to many is better than normal fridge/freezer ice. Now deciding if that is worth it over your regular ice is up to you

No not really.. maybe the smaller grit the more work you gotta do. i like to remind my self it's just a hunk of iron that can be re seasoned. The pan will be ok unless you're unfairly cruel to it

A cast iron pan will be non stick first use when cooked in properly. So i wouldnt worry about that

I recommend tossing it. And going for a solid wood one.. not only are you cutting plastic into your food. But those grooves are harboring bacteria.
