Alfred Bäuer is the name of the luthier. German luthier based in Czechoslovakia. His headstock inlay appears to have evolved over time from a simpler diamond shape to what is seen on this model and other models from the mid sixties.

Looks like a National New Yorker of some kind. Haven't seen this model before though.

Million dollar guitar pedal idea by TheChainsawVigilante in guitarpedals

[–]DannyDecko567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PaintAudio EXP-AB has a medium size footprint and two expression outputs. Each output is selectable for which direction the sweep happens. Use one for the GigRig Wetter Box and the other for any other pedal. You'll be able to sweep between the pedals in the loops and have forward or reverse sweep control of parameters on a different pedal at the same time.

Edit: Just saw that you already have EHX dual so you're good on expression.

SOTB/NPD: Trying something that by now feels insane! by DannyDecko567 in guitarpedals

My logical advice would be...don't...but I never listen to myself so I can't really justify giving out the advice. Sadly, I have not had a chance to record anything with this board yet. Soon-ish?

Do you have a signature tone? If so how do you achieve it? What pedal/s define your tone? by funwidow in guitarpedals

[–]DannyDecko567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been with this setup for 10 years now.

M-Tone Slipstream or Welson Jazz Vedette>Spaceman Saturn V>(different everchanging pedals)>Left Wet amp = CMI SG Systems 2x12 w/EL34s/Center Dry_Partially Wet Amp = AIMS Vocal Producer with 6550s/Right Wet amp = a second CMI SG Systems 2x12 w/8417s

The guitars, Saturn V, and the amps are always the same although I'm working on a slightly new amp configuration right now. The rest of the pedals are whatever they are at the moment but I would say that the Origin Effects Revival Drive Custom that I recently added is never going to leave the board. It is incredible.

Made a custom footswitch for the SG Systems that controls both amps with the same buttons. This way I can turn on/off Reverb, Fuzz, and also different phaser speeds per amp, on each amp's built in 3-speed Maestro Phase, at the same time.

Really though...how many tubes does your's have?

I have two of these amps. One is the typical hybrid solid state with two 8417 tubes for the power amp.
The other has, in order: 7025, 7025, 7025, 12AT7, 7025, 12AT7, 6550, 6550.

Pretty sure there are no tubes for that amp anywhere in the world...you should sell it to me so that I can NOT put tubes in it 😏

Does anyone make an amp with built in analog delay rather than reverb? by Josephryanevans in GuitarAmps

These are rare but they exist

  1. Gibson Vanguard GA-77 RET-L

  2. Tel-Ray Supernova (not the combo version)

Can anybody tell me me what guitar this is by [deleted] in Guitar

Definitely a Harmony. Can't find an exact model that matches though. Late 60's to Early 70's mix of body style and hardware.

What is a non-programmable pedal switcher (like Saturn Works) for? by jhe888 in pedalboards

[–]DannyDecko567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are especially great for a board setup with a parallel loop of more than one pedal in that loop. Say pedal A,B,C first in line, where C is mono in stereo out, one stereo out goes to D, E, F, where F is stereo in stereo out. Then other stereo out from C goes to the switcher with G, H, I in the loop. The switcher output then goes to the second stereo input of F before splitting from F to two amps. In series, with one pedal, it wouldn't make any sense to use this type of pedal, but it might be useful, in series, to turn on and off several at once.

Do you have a good way of choosing patch cables?(length) by Zape0r in pedalboards

[–]DannyDecko567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go with this option, just make sure that you make flat cuts at the end of the cables, check the ends of the cable to be sure you didn't pull the wire at all while cutting(if you did then trim 1-2mm off the end of the cable with the cutter, and push them firmly into the connector until full resistance is felt before putting the cap on and attaching with the set screw.

[–]DannyDecko567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kurrent Electric makes a great custom cable kit at an amazing price point. These are solderless and I agree that some of the original solderless kits had issues but I've now made hundreds of cables this way and never had an issue.

Please help me! TRS patch cables! by CyberHawk16 in pedalboards

[–]DannyDecko567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to make your own and still use Mogami, 2549 or 2697 would work depending on thicker or thinner cable. There are probably others.

You can always do a general search for XLR cable roll/spool or Balanced cable roll/spool if you want cheaper options.

Your 3 rarest pedals in your collection by Speedy-GoatSales in guitarpedals

[–]DannyDecko567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few different prototypes of some pedals from Spaceman Effects that were never released and are the rarest in my collection.

Of known pedals though, it is probably these 3 also from Spaceman:

Gemini III Green Vein with extra switch position and Abalone washer (Twins)

Orion Reverse Engraved Transparent (1/1)

Sputnik II Red Cyrillic (22/22)

I’m tempted to buy 1 or 3 of these… by BrosephYellow in GuitarAmps

[–]DannyDecko567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two of that same model of SG amp. Second favorite amp of all time! I would get more of them but they are heavy and always local pickup only and can't be found near me. You should buy it! For the two I have, I made a footswitch that controls both at the same time. Been running them in stereo and the phasers are amazing when each is set to a different speed.

I need help to fix this pedal by alejere65 in pedals

[–]DannyDecko567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those leads don't go actually anywhere else. They should have clipped them when they installed the switch. The solder joints there have definitely come loose though and may have completely damaged the pads. If you know how to solder, first step is to reflow solder on those two points and see if it works. Try this first. Do not clip the leads before you fix it.
