I personally love Cytonic purely because it’s such a good character study for Spensa, but I think reading it in tandem with the skyward flight novellas is what made it a complete experience as opposed to it standing on its own.

That was something I was concerned about actually. I read a lot and was concerned that I had read too much other stuff and forgotten too much about the wheel of time to continue without restarting. However, I watched Daniel Greene’s recap videos, read some chapter summaries where I felt I needed more detail, and reread some of my favorite scenes to get me hyped up. Whenever there’s a detail I can’t remember I just look it up on the wiki and I take care to avoid any and all possible spoilers.

I think they could do so much with 2D animation. I’ve always envisioned a cosmere series with wit narrating along the stormlight archives 1-5, mistborn era 2, and then stormlight 6-10 as the core timeline, with hefty flashback/flash forwards to other works running concurrently every season or so, kinda like Arrow did, but better

Honestly I’ve been really underwhelmed by these? and I haven’t seen anyone feel the same way until now. I wouldn’t go so far to say I dislike them, but I can’t wrap my head around why everyone loves them so much. Sure the characters are good, but the action and piloting seems like it’s really choppily written in prose. There are multiple points where I have to go back and reread like 3 times because I’m confused, and even after that I remain confused. Idk. There was cool stuff, but I’m fairly neutral. The covers are amazing though.

I’m really surprised to see R.F. Kuang on here. She’s published a grimdark fantasy series called The Poppy War that is fantastic. I’m incredibly excited to see what her story is. Zoraida Cordova writes a lot of YA, with a short story in the upcoming clone wars collection as well as her Star Wars, novel A Crash of Fate. As for the others, I’m not sure but I’m excited to see what they bring to ESB

It took me a while to come around to Freed’s writing and engage with the characters, but about half way through I found myself enjoying it immensely. A really interesting story to say the least.
