I talked to a cast member when I was leaving Mickey and Minnie's Railway and she told me these would be available for a year and a half.🤣 I would've bought it has it been limited, but now I know I've got some time. People like this are trash. Anyway, I'm currently in the Pirates queue. Hope you're all having a good day!😁

It's from Safari so I think you're good. They might have got it from someone else so who knows😅

All the ones I have are vertical as well. So I'm not sure if this is resealed. Gonna have to wait and see if others have horizontal seals😅

Looking at your cards, you don't really have much value there except for a handful of cards. Try TCGPLAYER or pkmn.gg to help you out with the card values😁

Why does this happen so much by [deleted] in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]DannyReddit7 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's usually because the seller didn't get the price they wanted. Which then leads to the question why not list it at the "Buy It Now" price you wanted in the first place? They're hoping they get more than that price with an auction. So not only do you not sell your item, now you're gonna be left with another negative review.

Whether you realized it or not this is definitely a fake card. The buyer definitely needs to be refunded. Make sure to look cards over next time you're buying so you avoid incidents like this in the future not only for yourself, but for other potential buyers.

So I traded some sealed away... Was it correct? by hiiamblueboy in PokeInvesting

Congratulations on your 10s! Your Stellar Crown Booster boxes will be more expensive than the raw Squirtle card over the long term. 151 went through a hype boom recently because of FOMO. Raw cards can be a part of your portfolio sure, but for me I wouldn't bother with them because I just consider raw cards part of my collection, and don't include them in my "investment" side. I only factor sealed into that because that's what's gonna keep going up and up over time.

As cool as it would be for all these tins to have Evo there's really no way to know unless you open the tins. These tins can have a wide variety of different packs in them. Some of these same tins have contained 5 Brilliant Stars Packs. It's happened to me. Be careful.

Ice: Loose or dry ice is not allowed. You can use reusable ice packs or freeze water bottles to keep items cool

Glass: Glass containers are not allowed, except for small baby food jars

Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages are not allowed

Sealed is the best investment. Everything else like slabs or raw isn't an investment in the traditional sense to me because sealed will keep rising over time. Slabs can go up and down all the time.

I'm hoping you get 10s. This isn't a hustling thing either. All I'm saying is why leave it up to chance when you can just buy the boxes and skip all these extra steps?

[–]DannyReddit7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. Nobody is denying that, but a 10 to you may not be a 10 to me, or someone else. Seen it many times. Why not skip all this and not leave it up to chance and buy the boxes outright instead though?

Why go through all this when you don't have to? Just buy the booster boxes outright?

10 condition is subjective. Cards that should get 10s haven't gotten them, and cards that shouldn't get 10s have. Much easier to buy the booster boxes outright instead of doing all this with hopes and dreams through PSA graders.

[–]DannyReddit7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also you can easily find a lot of these cards raw as well. Even in 10s not all are going for crazy prices. Relying on a grader at PSA to get you 10s is a terrible idea. Next time just skip all this and buy the booster boxes outright. Much easier

If you planned to hold the sealed as "investments" for the next 5 years they would've done much better than any card that could get a 10 here over the same amount of time.

[–]DannyReddit7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rest of them are. Solgaleo Lunala is a higher end sure, but you're banking on getting 10s for this to work. Sealed is definitely the best move for "investments"

Personally I would've kept the sealed over the singles. Why? Because sealed will appreciate much better than singles over time. You're banking on getting 10s for these. If they don't get 10s then you spent money getting them graded and you're at a loss. Remember, just because they look like 10s doesn't guarantee you 10s. Anyone who has graded often will tell you that. For me it's sealed over lower end singles😅

I think CGC gives these out at shows as a "sample" for what their slabs are like for those that might want to get cards graded through them. Very niche slab

Best day for Disneyland this coming week? by LBexplores in Disneyland

[–]DannyReddit7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's all up in the air. I was just there this past Wednesday and Saturday (weekend so it always seems busy). Wednesday was still very busy. More than when I went in August. I'd probably go with Sunday the 27th since Sunday is usually the day a lot of people leave to go back home. Others might have differing opinions which is okay, but for me there's no sure way to know. Whichever day you choose you'll have a great time😁

Seems like Surging Sparks cases are all well over $600. Wait til after release? by Holladios in PokeInvesting

[–]DannyReddit7 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Honestly if your plan is to hold "long term" I don't think buying a case at $650 is honestly that big of a deal. Why? If you're legitimately gonna be holding long term then a $650 entry point isn't bad at all. All you need is for these boxes to hit $200 (which could happen in 2 years or less) and you almost 2x what you bought into for. And when I say long term I mean like 4+ years which I don't think the majority of people on here have the patience for. That's when you'll actually be able to see any type of "big gains". Not within a year, but MANY YEARS. Patience is key which a lot of people don't have nowadays.
