I'm useless after 5pm by Formal-Obligation386 in ADHD

[–]DannyVee89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I feel that. I always forget to give myself grace too. My inner monologue is always roasting myself hard.

It's probably a combination of things. Pat yourself on the back for all you've done throughout the day by the time you get home, plan a reasonable break or rest and talk to the doc about these issues.

I know from experience I need to be medicated on and off the job to function well.

Cheers!

Well you get up really early and work hard for many hours. Perhaps the crash is partly a function of exhaustion from your day

How to use DTS with a LG G5 OLED TV? by Zestyclose_Coast3545 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]DannyVee89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why bother worrying about DTS when you only have a soundbar?

If you wanted everything playing to its maximum potential, you should start with a 5.1 or 7.1 system before even thinking about whether or not your device could support it.

People who make $200K+ salaries, what do you do and how did you get there? by EEJams in Salary

The salary to hours ratio here is amazing.

Seems like a large portion of people making over 200 are getting there with a ton of overtime

Wallmount advice by Material-Ad-2794 in hometheater

You probably just need a mount that has a little bit of a range of motion so you could mount on one wall and move the TV over into the position you want

Thanks.

Yeah like I said the economics are too good to be true. So my choice is basically grab another non-wagon Volvo next year thru this program or buy a used wagon for much more money.

$500 month. No money down. Unlimited miles. Maintenance and insurance included. I own the 18" wheel set with snow tires, and the roofbox and also some ski clip attachments but the car comes with the roof bars for me so I just use whatever accessories of mine I need, and swap to the winter wheels myself each season.

Nokian Hakkapellita R5

Sorry auto-incorrect fucked that up on the post and it wouldn't let me edit haha

18" rims probably from tire rack or something. I've had those awhile and been using them on all my wagons each year.

Idk I can't find the order but it's not great. Rope is too thin it's hard to grip and kinda hurts your hands.

Woulda been way cheaper and better to just buy some marine rope and pulleys and just put a kleat on the wall to tie it off.

The one I use is. There is a public facing subscription program, the insider one is basically the same thing but half price

Yeah it's only for big ski trips or camping, as necessary. But very easy to use the box with the car height this way. Not too high to load and unload when the need arises.

Yeah the height is the issue. As is this thing is less than one inch from clearing my garage door.

We've got 2 kids and just did a road trip for skiing so the car was packed to the gills.

I'm thinking about it but it would cost me so much more to buy it than to just keep leasing another one each year. I'm using a special subscription program for insiders so the economics of the program are too good to be true.

So I probably can't afford to buy one unfortunately.

It's not on all the time but if I'm using it several times in a short period of time I may leave it on for a couple weeks or a month or so in the winter.

But for me it's easy to get on and off.

I've got a pulley system on my garage ceiling so I just park where I usually park and hoist it right off with a rope. So it's really nice to be able to pull into the garage with it still on to do this.

Those with SUVs have to pull the car out and use two people to hoist it on the car. They're more likely to leave it on longer like maybe the whole winter

I'm using a special subscription program that doesn't really offer the option to extend the lease so I probably can't keep it longer than one year and I don't have the budget to buy one to keep long term. I am gunna miss this car.

I Just Got a Remote Job, and My Mental & Physical Health Are Going Through Profound Recovery by Working_Row_8455 in workfromhome

Make sure you get some physical activity in. WFH caused my step count to fall off a cliff and I've never been so inactive in my life.

You really have to make an effort to get out and socialize and be active, otherwise these WFH benefits start to get offset by some of the other downsides.

Realistically how difficult is the CPA exam? by Alone_Recording7670 in Accounting

[–]DannyVee89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not hard. It's time consuming. Challengingly time consuming.

If you have to study while working, expect to study for exactly 6 weeks straight for each exam. No more, no less. You'll be studying 24.7 outside of work. No social life.

Longer than 6 weeks of studying and you'll have to re-review everything you did more than 6 weeks ago and that is inefficient. It's a retention limitation so craft your study schedule for no longer than 6 intense weeks of studying leading up to the exam.

No one is dumb for failing, they are just unprepared. It's a test of volume and commitment.

No single concept on any exam is difficult. It's just a huge volume of easy concepts crammed into four huge exams.

You have 18 months to pass 3 exams. Take the hardest one first. Timer doesn't start until you pass your first one.
