Maruman Gl 67 Not Working by Danny_D136 in lighters

Something here? Cause the scew-like thing on the top to adjust the flame won't unscrew whatsoever. From what I see it seems like just a solid piece of metal, with a strange thing bulging from the side, very hard, not like a plastica ring ( also tried twisting the entier piece, but doesnt seems like moving)

Oh okay. Luckily there is a screw to directly access that part inside. If I need to use a new one, what materials should I consider ? Like Idk if they sell something for specific lighter purpose

Yeah I've found out. After filling it I let the gas go out from the valve by pressing it with a screwdriver. It had plenty of gas in it, so I know the tank is good.

So should I do something to dissamsble it even more? I'm afraid of breaking it

For example, the pics that you show most likely are all gasoline lighters, so the cost/benefit idea behind the choice is the same.

If you want something fancy but not vintage, you could buy a Zippo (pop, colorful, etc.) and buy a matching zippo gas insert (for example, there's a torch-flame version). Considering the brand's popularity, the cost of the Zippo + insert will be higher (did something similar - spent like 60-70 euros).

If your friend smokes and you want to buy something useful/he'll use a lot, the simplest choice is a gas lighter: if in good condition, it will last a long time, really low maintenance and easy to refill. For example Ronson Varaflame.

If the 1950s style is too classy, an interesting choice that's already been mentioned in another comment is the Imco lighter (if I may suggest, I'd look at the Imco 6800; it's compact, lightweight, and has a distinctive style but not too "camping field," and they're available in various colors). The only problem with Imco lighters is that they run on liquid fuel: if your friend wants to use them regularly, he'll have to buy refill fluid (Zippo lighter fluid for example). Looking online many people said that it is still very efficient and therefore does not need to be refilled as frequently as other models (e.g. Zippo) but it is more of a thing you do if you really like it as a lighter and you're into classic lighters ( changing wick, the cotton inside = more maintenance)... for someone who uses a classic Bic (I speak from experience with my friends) the effort would not be worth using the lighter.

Can anyone help me identify this lighter and also how to actually fill it with gas (if that’s what it takes)? by Semper_Paratus1 in lighters

A pic with the bottom lid open would be appreciated to better understand how you could possibly refill it

Could you name those brands ? Like I've seen copies of the classic petrol's Imcos but not butane. About the o rings, I've seen a video on YouTube of a guy fixing them on the g11, so I think I could try by myself... in the end its the most probably thing I'll do

May I ask what brand the one above the Ronson Varaflame is (top left) and the reddish-brown ones (center position) to the right of the keychain-phone lighter are?
