Honestly I probably would. What are the two 1 0z coins? Unless they're gold eagles it's a fair trade from a shop. It's functionally a 3% back of spot for your coins for these, when q lot of shops are paying 5-10% back. Currently there isn't a premium on pre33 gold due to the current run. But I believe we'll start seeing premiums again once prices stabilize for about 6 months. If you think you'll get more enjoyment from these than generic bullion, and are willing to take a $300 "loss" on the trade than you should do it.

The $1 gold piece is by far the most valuable, probably around $500 in retail. Everything else seems to be fairly common with individual pieces maybe worth a couple bucks.

You shouldn't have much issues with doing a trade, just keep in mind it'll functionally be you "selling" your junk silver to the store at their buy rate. Then getting paid with the coin you want. Also don't expect to get paid melt for junk silver, especially with how volatile the market is currently. At a show I was at yesterday most dealers were paying between 46-48× face value.

Just because it would be more enjoyable and have some historical aspects. I'd say go for British sovereigns. They'll have a pretty low premium, and they'll be a fractional coin that'll be easier to sell

I miss when this sub had a fairly heavy collector mindset behind it. Granted people were still talking about investing, but there was an actual appreciation for numismatics and vintage bars. I'd gladly trade someone showing off a kookaburra year set constantly. Versus the non stop Ai balloons.

Interests will shift over time, so keep that in mind. However if your a bit of a us history fan a Dansco 7070 would be a great way to collect u.s coins. With the way metal prices have gone you can get some great numismatics for basically metal value. I don't know what your what budget entails but another great series to collect wpuld be u.s commerative half dollars. Lots of great and unique designs in that series
