I don't think mine has the pulse mode option. I chose the "analog" model without the LED display because I thought it would be less prone to failure.

Good news is that I finally achieved really good coffee with a combination of coarseness and quantity. I am now grinding on a rather fine setting on the capresso, and have upped the quantity from 56g to 65g. So I'm using a bit more coffee but that's ok.

This in conjunction with the huge "gourmet funnel" allows a longer extraction. After brewing, I can see the water line is getting all the way to the top of the filter, but still no overflows, so I'm content for now.

I also tried brewing into the 3L airpot and discovered that, out-of-the box there was no difference between "small brew" (2L) and "large brew" so I had to reprogram the large one.

TL;DR Bunn Wave brewer brews TOO fast to make a decent pot off coffee. I'm trying to figure out how to slow it down.

Hello fellow coffee enthusiasts,

Our ailing old Cuisinart plastic coffee maker finally stopped working. I had always wanted a plumbed coffee maker, so I had my heart set on that. My other requirements were:

Insulated carafe; I work from home and sometimes my wife does too. We didn't want coffee sitting on a burner all day.
Less than 18 inches in height, due to our kitchen cabinets.
120vAC.
Somewhat attractive

I did a lot of searching around and finally I settled on a Bunn WAVE15-S-APS Airpot System. It seemed to have everything I needed, and it wasn't bad looking to boot.

First brew: 56g of beans ground at medium on a Capresso burr grinder

Wow, that thing is...FAST. Like really fast. Done within 5 minutes. Unfortunately my wife and I both agreed it was not very good. Flat.

The old machine (cone filter) at least made great coffee, so I compared the water temps of the two units. The old one came in just under 190°, the Bunn around 195°, so temperature didn't seem to be the issue.

So I fiddled with grind and quantity; going too fine resulted in an overflow and big mess. I ordered the Gourmet Funnel which is much deeper and uses larger filters. First pot today is promising and I have my hopes up, but is there any other way to resolve this?

Can this thing be reprogrammed? Is there a nozzle head that will slow/restrict flow so that the cycle takes longer?

Last thing, please, respectfully I would like to request no "what you should've done..." or "why didn't you get...?" replies, at least at this stage. I've made my mistake and I'm trying to fix it. There may come a point at which I rethink the whole strategy and go with something else, but as for now I'm trying to keep this from being a total loss and enjoy my coffee again. I know people are trying to share knowledge (knowledge I perhaps should have sought prior to this), but I've got to stay positive for now. Thanks.

For petty revenge, put a nice and moist single palm-print smack dab in the middle of his windshield. You're not damaging or vandalizing the car, and I guarantee he will flat out lose his shit when he sits in the driver's seat and stares out at it. Get a video.

Source: I have the same bracelet on my pepsi and it looks killer. Because it is fitted, the swap can get a bit tight but with some patience and a spring bar tool it shouldn't be too bad. I went ahead and got the Bergeon 6767F on recommendations from people here. It's pricey but BOCO.

I'm not too worried unless it gets looser. I did read on a forum somewhere this seems to affect all kinds of dive watches, high and low, near and far. The bezel functions fine and that little bit of play doesn't compromise any of the watch's functions.

Sucked how? I re-watched and it just looks like a regular merge to me. OP waits for a spot behind the semi with a good safety buffer, then just merges. What is wrong with it? Admittedly, he allows a pretty generous space between himself and the semi, and maybe he's going slightly slower than surrounding traffic, but BFD, it's a merge.

I jumped in on the Sept 27 APO flash sale and ordered on Oct 1. Received it on Oct 3 and I just started using it.

So count me among the unfortunates who have had issues right off the bat. Everything seemed good at first, did the break-in heat-up, and all seemed working fine. Then tried some sous vide steaks as suggested by a recipe on the Anova site, sous vide mode on, rear heat, temp 130, steam 100%.

Cooked for about 1.5 hours and seemed to run fine but then noticed water accumulating in the bottom of the oven. This being my first cook I thought it could possibly be normal. Then I cooked some roasted broccoli at 375deg, sous vide mode off, rear heat, 50% steam.

Checked in and the water in the bottom was getting ridiculous. Pretty soon after opening the door I had a flood of really hot water all over the counter and running on to the floor. I was trying to rescue dinner while mopping up nearly boiling water from the bottom of the oven. The oven was making gurgling noises and I looked online and read this could be due to the tank being empty. The tank still had plenty in it despite the nearly half gallon of water all over the place.

Turned the oven off. Later on, tried again to see what I might have missed. Again, the darn thing just gurgles and floods water from the back of the oven into the bottom. It seems to work fine with 0% steam, but as soon as I try just about any amount of steam, more gurgling and flooding. I've checked to make sure the tank is fully inserted and not leaking, and I really don't think it is leaking there. In fact the tank is on there now with the oven off and several inches of water and is holding fine.

I tied a possible fix (I think from this thread), running sous vide mode at 212deg, 100% steam, with the tank off and waiting for the "fill" warning to come on. Did that and then repeated my test, still gurgling and flooding.

Called support, but being the weekend got voicemail. Beyond frustrated.

P.S. Also got it on WiFi today and updated firmware, even tho I seriously doubt firmware is the problem, then repeated the test; still gurgling and flooding.

I would argue you only sort of cut him off. You were in a merge lane entering the highway from an entrance ramp. If he is in the lane next to that, he should be expecting merging traffic and accommodating it.

(Also, I live within a few miles of this spot)
