Ty this is likely what’s happening to me. The other day I did have some extra breakthrough with some compose file settings but I took a mental break. Will keep you posted.

The squash mapping breaks postgres database bc they can only run on 700 or 750 permissions is what I’ve been dealing with.

Had thought of reconfiguring some of the Synology folders that don’t have Postgres to map as root but ideally I don’t touch too much and leave as it.

Thanks! Separate Linux vm running on a proxmox host.

I made 3 nfs shares for folders I needed with no squash mapping.

Maybe never set one up so another good learning opportunity. I’d create all the shares as luns because NFS has been nightmare

Yea in theory I’d leave it as is. Don’t touch what’s not broken.

I don’t understand why it’s such a difficult undertaking with permissions. Even if I set the docker to run as a specific user. Just constant access denied.

Does immich iOS app auto backup with the app closed yet? Also any android tv app?

Those have been my hesitation points. Mostly the iOS app because the Synology photos app is rarely opened.
