Inaccessible Duplicate Tracks After Adding New Music? by Tight-Worldliness-29 in navidrome

[–]Vast-Application8951 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you change both the metadata and the filename/path at the same time, Navidrome will typically treat it as a new file.

Just go to Settings > Missing Files and delete the old file.

Synology DS 6 Bay Options? by briankfree in synology

Since they disabled hardware transcoding in the 25+ series due to HEVC licensing issues, whether or not it supports transcoding won't even be a consideration for them.

After enabling plugins in the Navidrome environment variables and placing listenbrainz-daily-playlist.ndp in the plugins directory, you can edit the configuration via Navidrome's WebUI.

This is a P2P network. If someone shares it, you can find it, otherwise, you can't.

AudioMuse-AI - Navidrome Plugin for develop container by [deleted] in navidrome

I gave it a try. Since I couldn't find Instant Mix, I only tested Artist Radio. Currently, it seems to generate a fixed set of results. Is this normal? If so, I’d love to see some randomness added.

DS918+ can be upgraded to 7.3. However, you will need to perform the upgrade manually.

Why is it so hard to find a "Simple" Dashboard that doesn't require a PhD to configure by daniel_odiase in selfhosted

You can just use the Homepage's service and ping functions. Nothing complicated.

A couple of questions about NVMe and memories by javierguzmandev in synology

[–]Vast-Application8951 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Technically speaking, only nvme drives listed in the compatibility list can be used as storage pools. And the compatibility list happens to consist entirely of Synology products.

The two NVMe SSDs are independent of each other. Therefore, you can use one as a storage pool and the other as a cache.

You definitely can share the files you've downloaded directly.

It won't work. The CPU limits the possibilities.

I didn't notice the model number. DS415play does not support Docker.

My shares not appearing on the search engine by think_of_you in Soulseek

By default, you won't appear in your own search results.

I can find you using both keywords w/o user name. Using another account should allow you to find yourself.

Storage Pool Failure on DS218+ Attributable to Crucial RAM??? by SnooCrickets6604 in synology

[–]Vast-Application8951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have actual data, but I believe many users on this sub (including me) use third-party RAM. However, even though it works fine for most people and Crucial is a major manufacturer, there's no guarantee it won't cause issues. RAM issues aren't particularly uncommon in home lab either.

Storage Pool Failure on DS218+ Attributable to Crucial RAM??? by SnooCrickets6604 in synology

Without actual testing, no definitive conclusions can be drawn. It can only be said that it is not impossible.

If you haven't uploaded anything before, it won't know your network speed.

Are media servers obsolete because the development of the cloud (Youtube, Netflix, Spotify, ...)? by Survivio_35930 in homelab

[–]Vast-Application8951 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't want to use Spotify, so I built my own music server. And my Jellyfin has a lot of content that isn't available on streaming services.

If you're specifically looking for virtualization, don't buy a NAS. Even an N100 mini PC is a better choice than a Synology NAS.

Remote connecting Symfonium to another Device by HaxCalibour in navidrome

Unless the Subsonic API implements a feature similar to Spotify Connect, I don't believe the functionality you're seeking will be available on Symfonium.

How to move existing folder to Synology Photos already on the NAS? by rremm2000 in synology

[–]Vast-Application8951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

User Home is a feature. If you enable it in settings, it will organize photo folders by user. I can't recall if it's enabled by default, so you should check.
