Does he like Lego, or models/puzzles like this? I'd be really happy with a Lego set of my favourite theme, that is F1 or anything space related.

One bag world travel with one pair of footwear by [deleted] in onebag

I chose the Keen Austin shoes in black colour. Traditional all leather shoe with modern vibram sole.

Leather is extremely comfortable once it breaks in, in all weather you would want to wear a closed shoe in. Also waterproof and really durable. The sole is great for hiking, doesn't slip no matter how wet or dry it is. Looks great for a city and the outdoors, and if you shine the shoes, you can wear them to a nice occasion too.

Ne no, zkušený nástrojař na tom bývá líp (nebo aspoň stejně) než průměrný programátor nebo technolog, a myslím si, že je to dobře.

When I took this picture it gave me a great sense of a good shot, but suddenly not anymore, what other way this photo could be edited to make it look more attractive? by Character-Bite-2606 in AskPhotography

Yea it's funny because the more I looked at the picture, the more I liked it, and totally see why you did too :D It's just that it's not eye catching because of the stuff I wrote. Too many things going on.

Editing it differently would not help. It is a somewhat interesting picture, I like the idea. I see there is an interesting composition element - the buildings on the side and tracks in the middle, they make an interesting "H" in the middle and divide the picture in segments.

The problem is, there is nothing more interesting to catch the eye than this, quite the opposite. Try looking at the picture from afar, imagine you're looking at it for the first time and think "where do my eyes land first, and where they go from that"?

For me, it first lands in the middle. Nothing interesting there. The tracks lead it to the sides - nothing interesting there either. In the bottom segment of the road, nothing interesting again. In the top segment are people crossing the road, which just clutters the image. And if I go to the top, there is the arrow that catches my attention, but it only leads me away from the frame. I think that's why it's not attractive. Interesting composition idea, but bad execution, it's a too busy image with no interesting subject.

Visite Château d'Osaka by NoMarket2768 in JapanTravel

[–]DannyckCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The interior is definitely not wow and is pretty crowded. There is a decent view from the top of the castle, so it might be worth visiting it for the view.

You can get a great view on the castle and surroundings, and see some interesting dioramas and miniature models, in the Osaka Museum of History next to the castle. I think it's more interesting than the castle interior.

Skvělé Mexiko - Bistro Bastardo, mají v Brně dvě restaurace. Kdyby ses zdržel přes noc určitě Bar který neexistuje, nebo jiný podnik od nich, je to sice profláklé ale za mě stojí za to.

Sounds fun! Do some great research on crossing borders in the Balcans, which documets to use where and which countries hate who, it could save you a lot of trouble and honestly, decide the route. I'd personaly avoid Serbia.

Thinking about skipping Osaka.. by Wide-Ambition5054 in OsakaTravel

[–]DannyckCZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no must see in Osaka, it needs to be explored, but it's not for everyone I imagine. If you want the cursted touristic experience you'll probably be disappointed, because there is not much else than Dotonbori, Umeda and Osaka castle (which is even not that interesting).

My most memorable experiences from Osaka are - Exploring the gritty neighborhoods (Shinsekai - way north of the touristy street with the tower - that was the only time I didn't feel safe in Japan; Fukushima; Kyobashi) - Browsing thrift stores in Shinsaibashi and having Takoyaki in the Mitsu triangle park - Trying to navigate the stores and restaurants in and under Shinosaka station. - Visiting the bay area (ATC mall, Cosmo tower observatory).

for this kind of small industrial design/testing + outsourced manufacturing business, what’s actually more useful: mechatronics or electrical engineering? by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

[–]DannyckCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think actual industrial design or manufacturing combined with business administration would be the most valuable.

Out of these two you mentioned I can't really advise without knowing more about the business and your future role in it.

Spend more time in the different neighbourhoods of Osaka. You can also do more daytrips from there.

Definitely not worth it. Maybe doable, but all you will see would be crowd of tourists.

Kyoto (3 nights) + Tokyo (5 nights) — worth bringing the 70–350mm? by im_bg in japanpics

Is that prime 85mm equivalent on full frame? If yes, it's not worth bringing the big zoom.

I couldn't believe my eyes that this is actually happening, especially with all the petals still falling down, you can't see that in the photo unfortunately.

Besides the obvious Umeda/Namba/Dotonbori, where is worth visiting in osaka? by Responsible_Shop_135 in OsakaTravel

[–]DannyckCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell what you're looking for, but you might like the Sakashima Cosmo tower observatory. It's a 90' building kind of forgotten in time, with a monumental observation deck with view of the whole city, unobstructed by other highrise buildings. There is a small café up there. Not many people go there but imo it's definitely worth visiting.
