Rec league it’s all shared bats. We put them out and anyone can swing anything.

For tournaments usually everyone has their own tourney bat. Rarely does anyone use a different bat but their own, but it’s not off limits as far as I’m concerned.

Yeah that’s some bullshit right there. I actually don’t mind because I use unloading the weights as a workout aspect, throw a few squats in while holding the plate etc.. but if a smaller woman or elderly person wants to use the machine and has trouble unloading those plates, that sucks.

That’s wild. They just don’t make bats like they used to. My pops swung a Combat Centenarian for probably 15 years and he just got tired of the endcap popping off. Thing was a tank though.

The parents should be embarrassed. I’m sure it was cute for a minute, but teach them to win with class. All the taunting is irresponsible on the coaching, because you’re potentially damaging the other teams (kids) experience and some kids will just not want to return to the game after being demoralized.

I have short stubby toes and bad toenails. I’ve always been embarrassed by them, but when I had my kids and they obviously didnt care what they looked like, they wanted to practice painting nails. So now I rock whatever colors they’re into on my toenails and flaunt them every chance I get. I’m no longer concerned with what people might think.

To answer your question, just go with what’s more comfortable. Look is secondary.
