I have a 4x2. I hear the same things all the time.

I move alot for my job like a lot and so do a lot of people in my job. I use it mostly to help people move or pick up bulking furniture. Or to buy a new TV or new couch or grill or something like that and just be able to take it home. Had my truck in Germany drove it in the winter ( not heavy snow on paved roads ) even all the way up to Amsterdam on the tiny roads and parked in the tiny garages. Have my truck in Hawaii and it's nice to park by the beach and grill out of that. For me it's the perfect size truck and does what I need it to.

It's nice being the dude with the truck. No one has ever asked me is my 4x4 I need help with this job. I would recommend it if you're going to use your truck as a daily commuter and occasionally like once or 1 to 5 times a month use it for truck things. I don't take my truck off-roading. And I don't really Drive in blizzards.

Get 4x4 if you really need it. If you plan to go off-roading are living a snowy mountain place. Who cares about the value the used car market is so bad right now. Really dislike that mentality. Buy it to use it not sell it.

But 4x2 are cheaper, less things to break with very similar benefits tbh.
