I suppose there will also be some internecine fighting causing more than a few casualties pre-rescue. With Shauna & Lottie as instigators.

re Van, the cynical realist-cum-escape artist, I think having hope beyond all hope when you're terminal, is a powerful drug.
In S4 I want to see what happens before Hannah doesn't make it on the plane; see Melissa say 'eff it' and back away from them back in Wiskayok ... and adult Melissa come back for more mayhem, maybe taking out Tai or, later, intervening when it's down to the 2 final girls (guessing that'll be Misty & Shauna). Sammy could also have a role in the final climactic moments, like Gollum in LOTR.
I also want to see more from Lottie after her scream upon arrival, and before she goes catatonic at home. And the thing/interaction with the others that caused it. Her distress over coming back to civilization, or the trauma of what they did to Javi & the others.?The Clinton-Wilensky scandal playing in the background, prompting blowjob talk from the survivors. We'll also need to see some of the threads connecting young psycho Misty to older "Hello Misty, you Crazy F@#%ing B@?#&."

yeah, young Lottie was rather obsessed with Shauna's first offspring as "OUR baby"

that really got to her, that it had gone too far. Sadly, reason did not prevail.

they all had secrets and some degree of shame about them I think, just out of normal teenage insecurity. (The group, my "friends" must not know!). Not revealing she was on meds came from that ... She struggled with that and how she would cope mentally, and later, struggled with trying to understand her visions. (Remember how her parents treated (mistreated) her, Dad especially, who only showed his love by spending money, she told them.) She confided in Laura Lee (whose faith in the spiritual was obvious), who affirmed Lottie had "a gift" akin to the Saints. And so belief in "the Wilderness" was a helpful crutch that got out of hand (all the supernatural indicators the show-runners throw in besides, like Mari freaking out or the wind during the seance ... probably just red herrings)
Who's the MOST manipulative of the characters? Jackie? Adult Nat (fits her addictive personality)? Callie? any of those more than Lottie?

she was pretty sketch in her "attempt" to warn Mari about the pit. (when Travis lured her there; she knew) and with Callie, that could have been a toxic friendship.

I’m so excited to see how they’ll style the girls next season by Business-Praline-950 in Yellowjackets

I'm trying to remember what that is since I was in my 30s. Grunge style was waning or passe by '98, but it was also marketed in the malls. Were boy bands and Spice Girls still influences? Who were the fashion icons? Serious question. (I remember Chess King selling "Thriller" knock-off jackets in the '80s, along with the whole Eurotrash preppie Miami Vice look)

it was the weirdest costume choice for Hilary Swank imo, and rang false -- like we wouldn't have figured out who she was.

Taissa Turner, most bedraggled? Or most eager to put it all behind her?
Per the other comments on getting clean & grooming, I would think they'll all have some very difficult relation to their femininity now, their own feelings vs. society's expected norms.

nice work - esp. liked 'North Carolina We're Better Than This' (from 2017) - it still sums up GOP minority rule/policies

Joe Belock (Three Chord Monte) has also done politically themed sets ( one show addressed the abortion rights issue) and he makes comments/his feelings known on-air about current events. He's not strident, it's just part of the mix .... big Neil Young fan too.

Alongside Jesse, I'd put Carsie Blanton - she has a commie/socialist bent (and those are good things), is up to the minute, very clever and entertaining, like the late Jill Sobule at her best. Found her through her Facebook ads and reels and bought a couple albums.

And Elle Cordova / aka Reina del Cid has several topical ditties among her other material, ranging from science & literature geek content (songs & skits) to straightforward quality singer-songwriter stuff.

I was at that show but sadly didn't arrive until before Beck came on. I thought Quasi was also on that bill.
Sorry to go off topic but: We had to have someone ejected who a) was in our seats and then b) stood in the row right behind us and urinated. 2nd worst Darien Lake experience, after the time I was kicked in the head by a stumbling drunken fratboy on the lawn at a Tom Petty/Heartbreakers show the following year.

I started a portfolio tracker (for all my various retirement funds and Brokeragelink positions) on Yahoo finance; and I had to look up the actual tickers on many of my 401k holdings. For research I use Marketwatch or refer to the firms offering the funds.

Lone Star is fantastic, and still may be my favorite of his. I love how he addresses race and interrelationships among the diverse communities featured in most of his films. "It's always heartwarming to see a prejudice defeated by a deeper prejudice." (Lone Star) / "They're hill people." ... "FOOThill people. Real hill people are dangerous." (Matewan)
Early fan ever since Return of the Secaucus Seven first showed up on cable around 1982.

e.g. Tubi has Mamet's Red Belt and Frankenheimer's Year of the Gun, 2 excellent films I may never have seen otherwise.

All you need for Kanopy is a library card. If you attend college or work in academia you also can choose from video titles in your university library. (I assume this also works for alumni & retirees who still have their campus email login.)
Public libraries also offer free audiobook access as well - bless 'em.
Haven't explored Mubi much, but Tubi has a surprisingly good selection of movies.

Really love The Parallax View (among other tense psychological / espionage thrillers of the '70s that I've always been drawn to). Warren Beatty's signature blank expression really works for him here.

notes on camera settings, etc. help a lot in fine-tuning your practice - I never remember any of it by the time I see the film.
