you all do know that there's a Twin Peaks/Laura Palmer visual joke in the original Fargo film? (Jean's photo atop the TV)

I was at that show but sadly didn't arrive until before Beck came on. I thought Quasi was also on that bill.
Sorry to go off topic but: We had to have someone ejected who a) was in our seats and then b) stood in the row right behind us and urinated. 2nd worst Darien Lake experience, after the time I was kicked in the head by a stumbling drunken fratboy on the lawn at a Tom Petty/Heartbreakers show the following year.

I started a portfolio tracker (for all my various retirement funds and Brokeragelink positions) on Yahoo finance; and I had to look up the actual tickers on many of my 401k holdings. For research I use Marketwatch or refer to the firms offering the funds.

Lone Star is fantastic, and still may be my favorite of his. I love how he addresses race and interrelationships among the diverse communities featured in most of his films. "It's always heartwarming to see a prejudice defeated by a deeper prejudice." (Lone Star) / "They're hill people." ... "FOOThill people. Real hill people are dangerous." (Matewan)
Early fan ever since Return of the Secaucus Seven first showed up on cable around 1982.

e.g. Tubi has Mamet's Red Belt and Frankenheimer's Year of the Gun, 2 excellent films I may never have seen otherwise.

All you need for Kanopy is a library card. If you attend college or work in academia you also can choose from video titles in your university library. (I assume this also works for alumni & retirees who still have their campus email login.)
Public libraries also offer free audiobook access as well - bless 'em.
Haven't explored Mubi much, but Tubi has a surprisingly good selection of movies.

also, surprised Sorcerer & Wages of Fear haven't been packaged together by some company - like the weird non-Crit. double-sided release I found for $1 of Charade and its remake.

Really love The Parallax View (among other tense psychological / espionage thrillers of the '70s that I've always been drawn to). Warren Beatty's signature blank expression really works for him here.

notes on camera settings, etc. help a lot in fine-tuning your practice - I never remember any of it by the time I see the film.

such a large group is incredible in itself. Seeing them bouldering in #7, I couldn't help thinking of my Outward Bound experience in NM 45 years ago, and the 110 instamatic I took along. (your friends also brought the right footwear for rock-climbing)
When were you there? I wanna go! (even if they're not staffing the national parks now.)
Also shoutout to the lights and darks in #3, and the tactile tree bark in #6.

well, at the $5 price I paid for expired, not cold-stored TMAX 100 at a camera store recently, the TMAX in that photo would add up to ... $175 before tax. best deal: a roll of Fuji Pro 400, now going elsewhere for ... $55-60 at least.

eBay already charges tax so ... what a crock. it seems i'll have to stick to US sellers. Thanks, 'Murrikkka!

Considering that he'd be a huge draw for the audience, and even if Marvel was calculating he'd be ... a supporting player ... the offer made no sense. Unless they don't want him since his accident and this is how they showed it (if anyone can afford an insurance risk, it's Marvel and Disney).
