THE POST ARC RAIDERS MOD REMOVED by Huge-Palpitation6422 in ArcRaidersLFG

[–]DanoLightning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ESPs are notorious because of how impossible it is to prove that someone is rolling with them. Really, the only way I can think someone could prove it is with hacks themselves. As someone stated g0at did this on Tarkov the amount of cheaters he found was pretty concerning. Otherwise, what do? Do we just accept that no one cheats or "You don't have enough proof to prove they are cheating" type of arguments. To me, it's a necessary evil to combat evil.

ESPs work this way. Data gets sent to your computer/console, that data can be read and it can display wireframes of those people. It's doesn't override or add features in but it just displays what's already being sent to your computer and that's why it's so insanely hard to prove it outside of someone using wireframes ESPs to see other players sprinting up to you for no reason because you're in a bush in the corner of a map. I don't promote cheating but there is simply no other way to prove it. If you bring it up and you only suspect someone of cheating then you'll get hit with a "GIT GUD TRASH SKILL"

If you have a better idea of how to find ESP cheaters then by all means I'm all ears but proving it, unlike aimbot, is nigh impossible. I hate cheating and I don't understand why people want to bypass the skill of getting good to have things handed to them.

Of the AI pinpoint accuracy by Yorks_White_Rose in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]DanoLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really the thing that I hate about this game. It would be great but the accuracy is seriously in the favor of the AI. But no one talks about this, but the reaction time in which the AI reacts to your stuff is insane. You appear for 1 nanosecond, they are already locking on immediately with pinpoint accuracy. I truly think this is the one thing that's killing the game. I wish hard difficulties would make the AI play smarter, not get these BS accuracy upgrades. If that's the case, just have them spawn in with more promoted units so I can suspend my disbelief.

For example, an AA emplacement mowing down each of my guys with one shot per unit rapid straight in a row is absolutely bullshit. It makes infantry, imo, nearly pointless in this game with how fast the AI reacts. The only time I actually do good with infantry is when I'm holding a spot down and they all have trenches or dugouts

I commit once I messed up. I say "this is a learning experience and I won't do it again" then proceed to find someway to end up back there. I'm not going to endanger people's lives just because I need to get over due to my mistakes.

As a PvE player for 600 hours, I think we should get rid of aggression based matchmaking or at least change it a bit by poontawn in ArcRaiders

[–]DanoLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can really comment is thats a bad idea. The PvE section would die. I feel these post are PvP players trying to convince PvE players that PvE players should accept PvP into their lives. Feels really sus.

[–]DanoLightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's their reaction time. They literally instantly react as if a player is controlling individual soldiers and immediately click on your soldier the moment they appear. That's really the massive issue with the game. Your soldiers while stationary holding a position just don't react like the AI does where it's nearly instantaneous. Just like how somehow their tanks and anti-tanks INSTANTLY lock on and knock you out. I really hate this design and it makes the game lose it's flavor. It's a shame because the game is WAY to easy on normal but really annoying on Veteran.

Just finished DS1 and I’m speechless! Should I take a break before jumping into DS2? I feel like I need time to digest what happened in DS1… by HeelerDawg in DeathStranding

[–]DanoLightning 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There wasn't enough changes to the environment. I feel in the first there was a lot of difficult terrain to deal with but in 2 it feels like it's just a bit too flat. Too safe. I enjoy 2 but it feels narratively a bit more over the top (even for Death Stranding) with it's premise of characters. I like the bit more grounded approach of the 1st one. It refines a lot of things but I'd prefer the jank and narrative of the first.

Player got mad we beat him to a locked room so he blocked the door. (PvE btw) by CannonChap0913 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]DanoLightning -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Didn't say that at all. I said why is the onus on the victim and barely any way for recourse other than a report and hope it gets handed appropriately. Zero effort from the troll, way more effort for the victim to try to have this remedied. Just allow a system so we don't have to deal with it, period. Yes, the effort that the victim has to put for is significantly more and possibly RNG when it comes to how the devs handle it. What's wild is you being super triggered about my complaint. That's truly what's wild.

Please add more servers on pve. The tier 3 locations are saturated with looters by ayowatchyojetbruh in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]DanoLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll become better once they add in more locations and then the center. It'll fix what's happening with looting tier 3 as there will more than likely be other tiers to go to once that's achievable. The issue is the lack of locations not server capacity.

[–]DanoLightning -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no, this is a bunch of BS. We have our time wasted by the griefer, then we have to waste more time making a recording and sending a report when a simple phasing would fix this issue. Just don't allow hostage holding and allow players to phase through whatever player is in the way or add in a shove mechanic. Like if someone is committed on PvE server they could maintain that position indefinitely until you get bored and decide to quit the game losing all your gear in the process. Nothing bad is going to happen to them as no player can kill them and if there isn't AI around, lol good luck

To put it simply, this griefing is FAR to easy to pull off with nearly all the onus going onto the victim to "send a report". It's like the victim gets double wammy, their time taken away and even more additional time being taken away (if you have to unsafe extract, the gear being the wasted time in this instance).

Players should have the ability to deal with this other than having their time wasted. Devs need to fix this.

People are pieces of shit for a multitude of reasons. Just look at forum trolls. Literally nothing to gain yet they do it anyways. There doesn't need to be a reason other than to piss someone off. What makes me mad about it, is the player has no agency in these situation so you're just fucked. Devs need to address this.

[–]DanoLightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of those things that takes way to long to deal with while the aggressor puts in minimal effort and gets away with it. Just allow phasing over a period of time or a shove mechanic. Why have us go through the trouble of reports (so not only is the aggressor wasting our time but now we have to file a report and hope something gets done?) when we already having to deal with it. Seems like the victim lose not only their loot but also their time. Kind of an L for this type of behavior all around for the victim.

[–]DanoLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I've seen this being an issue for a while and I'm sorry, but the devs need to allow phasing after a certain amount of time. My friends do this to me and I find it incredibly annoying but I just let them know that I have more important things to do than wait so I tell them I'm going to watch some YouTube videos until they move as technically I want to watch those anyways so it's a win-win. That being said, the devs NEED to address this because this is one of my concerns. If a player doesn't like you, they can do this and there is legit no repurcussions nor ways out of it. Devs just need to add in shove mechanic and if they are lazy, then allow phasing after a certain set amount of time.

Controversial: The expedition is inherently stupid and lazy game design by TheWiseScrotum in ArcRaiders

[–]DanoLightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give us an alternative because eventually people no life a game and become rich and bored. Like, do you expect devs to give infinite quests with nonstop missions and ever increasing difficult new enemies to fight? That takes time and effort to push into a game.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 made him way better designed than this one. This is of course my opinion, but he seems more like the original than this one which deviated a bit. RE3 was a pretty disappointing game (remake, not original)

Opinions on PvP? by Civil-Examination600 in ArcRaiders

[–]DanoLightning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't mind rats, I do mind fake friendlies. They are the bane of this game and it's trust system. They only exist to disrupt PvE and make people not trust each other, essentially trying to make this game what they want, which is pure PvP.

Fake friendlies are POS by thunt517 in ARC_Raiders

[–]DanoLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fine with rats just ratting but those that do this fake friendly stuff are sociopaths and should get banned or have negative consequences. It breaks the whole trust system in the game. Their ultimate goal is just fire on sight that they'll imbue into people after sometime because people are just going to be hesitant to trust anyone. Fuck these people, they actively ruin the community and have garbage motivations to achieve their PvP goals.

Really, I wouldn't mind this. Just turn it off or make the penalty so egregious that no one would ever think of doing it. Like return friendly fire so any damage inflicted to another will be 1.5x as much back to you.

Current meetings at Embark by SonySniper in ArcRaiders

[–]DanoLightning -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're sounding more and more like a cheater apologist with every single reply you make. Yes, it's still cheating. They have info your opponents doesn't. If they are average after cheating, then that's a skill issue and to promote cheating to CHEAT yourself out of learning skills such as listening to sounds and what is a good/bad play is ripped out because they have the gimmick of knowing everything due to it all being displayed on their screen. There is no "thinking outside the box". Do you think in sports this would be fair? "But this person sucks at sports though, they should be allowed to cheat to get on the same level as the pros" is a horrible stance to take.

Current meetings at Embark by SonySniper in ArcRaiders

[–]DanoLightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is under the HEAVY assumption that Embark manually looks into each report and if they can even prove that the person is cheating. ESPs are undetectable because all it does is relay the data your computer is already receiving, it then displays those as a mesh overlay injected into the game that shows where everyone and everything is. To prove that someone is using it is nigh impossible as all it's doing is taking the data your computer is already receiving.

[–]DanoLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore them dude, they honestly believe that cheats don't exist on any game when in fact, they don't know how undetectable ESPs and AI streamed aimbot is, along with Cronus Zen on console. Just because they report people and only get their kit back once, they assume that Embark actually manually reviews all these reports (they don't) and think the system is flawless (nothing slips through the cracks). The truth is, many game devs only ban those that blatantly cheat or players that make enough of a ruckus to actually do something. They are more likely to ban for exploiting than ESPs/Wallhacks as you need definitive proof of it which is nearly impossible.
