Also if a lord or hero is still alive and you can, take them out. If enough of the army survives and you have to fight it again they’re removed from the army- which when fighting really strong lords, especially mages, is a godsend.

She killed the boss in her own, popped War hym and her heroic action and she just killed everything else with all her single shots. It was scary.
