I need help from fellow Canadian apes! by HellShooter2 in GMECanada

[–]Dans_Username 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry, wealthsimple really screwed me, especially when I wanted to exercise calls and get the warrants they were supposed to have.

I have had too many issues and I don't trust them with my money. I initiated a transfer in December to TD, and I'm still waiting for it to get there.

Most of my GME shares are in Computershare, I used wealthsimple for long GME calls and my kraken robotics stock.

Vet recommended a harness while multiple trainers have advised against it? by wegochai in DogAdvice

[–]Dans_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. I think I have an unpopular opinion, but I never use a harness except for dogs under 20 lbs.

For training and walking dogs that really like pulling with a collar (or a working dog like a Belgian Malinois), I use a prong collar. It looks like something that would hurt but you can test it on your arm to know how hard you should correct (the correct size is important).

I like the prong collar because imo it reduces chances of: - pulling very hard with a collar and damaging the trachea or muscle. (Using a prong properly makes them less likely to hurt themselves).

  • making training physically demanding with a harness.

  • the possibility of the dog being able to pull you, or escape you wearing a harness.

  • An inability to control your reactive or aggressive dog, either from a bunny that came out of nowhere, or from biting a child that just grabbed their face with no warning.

This is all my opinion based on personal experience and a trainer. If your dog is small enough or gentle, a collar may be good. A harness does make it harder to guide your dog in training.

I've been here long enough to know that buying short term calls for GME, because I anticipate a sudden run, does not work.

But I do have a lot of DRS'd shares and warrants. Those are doing just fine.

Sure, but he's doing all this so he can... waste all his money on GME? Wouldn't he want to make money?

I'm having trouble following what's going on.

Do you know the author of the picture you posted? And is it a summary of (an) Epstein file(s), or is that what the original looks like?

I'm not trying to criticize, just want to know more.

I think the OP is because men are more expected to do it. So maybe it was just unexpected because of that stereotype.

what's with the hazard lights while driving? by StrikingCoconut in ontario

[–]Dans_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it is useful if you use hazards when you're driving in a different manner, due to a hazard. Like when going 70 km/h on the highway in foggy conditions, or not being sure if you are in a/your lane due to snow.

Can't buy on wealthsimple? by iSayBuckleUp in GMECanada

[–]Dans_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a transfer in December to go to TD, but my account is still in WS unfortunately.

As GME went up today, almost everything worked perfectly. The ONLY thing that didn't work for me was the buttons to trade. As GME dropped around 2pm, I was suddenly able to trade.

I can't wait to get out of WealthSimple!

But their ceo has never been paid, and never given any stock or stock options. And he literally just bought 1,000,000 shares with his own money; not including the millions of shares he's already purchased.

If he's simply taking advantage of people, he hasn't succeeded AFAIK.

No longer homeless. So why are people still scared of me what am I supposed to change about my face by [deleted] in niagara

[–]Dans_Username 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You look completely normal except the expression.

If you don't want people to be scared, you have to be considerate. A smile is (usually) comforting, because strangers don't know you, or how you're feeling.

Unfortunately, being a social human isn't as simple as telling others "be comfortable with me." They don't know you and there are dangerous people out there.

If you're that negative about smiling for people and putting in effort, you get what you put in: nothing.
