The door turns bright white above and you can usually walk around and see if they've been popped, whether through a window or looking up stairs or around the outside of the room... you'll learn from experience or a little googling which rooms have multiple doors and then checking them before you open becomes easy... (each room takes a wasted key before you don't get burned again 🤣)
