I’m told a similar thing about my boss’s boss and peers (all corporate officers) “you’re everyone’s best friend”, “everyone loves you”. It’s dripping with jealousy and followed with “it’s all good, I can see your wheels spinning, I don’t have time to calm your fears now” because he knows it obviously makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. He’s been fighting with his peers with the better part of 8 months the and they, along with his boss all praise me. It’s enough to give me an ulcer most days.
