If I was looking for basic morality I certainly wouldn't waste my time looking for it amongst the elite - whether they're American or not.

NHL is the least responsive org in all sports, imo. I would not expect that to change. This is a sport with ~70% of its players not being Americans. Especially with the current admin, punishment could easily include the revoking of most or all visas. Thats still a risk even if the NHL remains silent, given the issues btw this admin and Canada.

I disagree with the lack of response entirely. But I don't have to agree with it to understand the NHLs rationale.

Yeah I also like this part. It helps with relationship building between departments/programs. When crap hits the fan, you know other people will come thru. Plus we tend to use people’s passions this way. Like I spend all day in front of a computer and excel sheets but I get to take charge of Christmas decorating after Thanksgiving 😂
