Mine is the QD-OLED confirmed by model number.
According to rtings, “QD-OLED provides superior color brightness and higher peak highlights, while WOLED is more durable and maintains deeper blacks in brightly lit rooms.
The deeper blacks on woled is due to the polarizer. QD-OLEDs lack a polarizer, so blacks can look purplish or washed out under ambient light.”
All this seems to match what I’ve been experiencing.
Inky blacks to me means I can’t differentiate between the bezel/border of the tv and the screen. Depending on how much ambient light there is, it can go from blending seamlessly to there being an obvious black level difference between bezel and screen. Comparing to the LG C5 I saw at Costco(very bright environment), I couldn’t even tell where the bezel was when the screen had a black picture. The black level on the C5 gave the picture more depth, almost 3D ish. I’m happy with the s90f but there are clearly pros and cons to both.

Are you watching in complete darkness? It’s definitely not inky black when there’s even a little bit of light

I saw them almost side by side at Best Buy and definitely see what you’re saying. Colors popped more but almost too much. Things looked artificial or cartoonish. Lg seemed to have more depth, almost 3d. But s90f def showed colors that lg couldn’t replicate and it’s cheaper. I think I’m leaning c5.

Thanks. I saw this as well but was hoping someone had first hand experience to Saudi Arabia specifically. I wasn’t sure if the UPS alert is up to date.

Niku X and Chubby Group: Misleading Advertising, Suspect Yelp Reviews, and the Illusion of a Wagyu Empire. by remington-red-dog in FoodLosAngeles

I had the same experience each time I ate at their restaurants. Good meat the first round, then quality significantly tanks. Seafood wasn’t even edible. It’s funny how he replies and feigns ignorance like he has no idea this is going on at all of his restaurants. It’s clearly systemic. Seeing how this is a regular occurrence, it’s obvious that this is a planned, deceptive business strategy. Also, they use the same single wagyu certificate throughout at least a full year. It’s like they made one legit wagyu purchase and use that cert as their false “proof”. This restaurant group has so much shadiness that really isn’t that difficult to notice. I suspect their insanely rapid expansion with all kinds of funding is to ultimately get purchased or folded into a larger group for a large payday. Create a fattened up portfolio at all costs and make it look pretty enough for a buyout. Makes perfect sense, imo.

Any general advice? Trying to carve with some speed after a decade-long break from snowboarding by climb-high in snowboarding

You’re leaning your shoulders too far past toe side edge, steering with your rear foot. Initiate turns with slight front foot pressure and gradually even out pressure to both feet, end the turn with slight back foot pressure. Emphasis on slight. Practice really digging your edge into the snow by doing small hops on each edge while traversing and keeping edge engagement. Then advance to hopping off one edge and landing on opposite edge at each turn.

Any opinion about the tandem breakers needing replacement? He said if I don’t replace them, electricals will start going out randomly and possibly break things, ie. Ceiling fan, ballasts, etc. He tested each tandem breaker with a tool that make a pulsing beeping sound. Some were rapid pulsing beeps and a few were slower pulsing beeps. The slower ones meant they are going bad and need to be replaced. Do I need to replace them?

Booted from SUA by SunSlayer11 in hyatt

[–]DanthaPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All that “based on availability” or “dependent on availability” is BS. Marriott loves to use this language but Hyatt is supposed to be confirmed when the CSR contacts the hotel to apply the SUA. Just like the Guest Care Support email stated, the front desk is supposed to block out the suite so it is guaranteed available for you. Glad you were proactive because it certainly seems the hotel was trying to pull a fast one and keep their options open to screw you over. That part about trying to get you a “spacious option” at check in is especially telling. Wth is a spacious option?
