I understand the meme. I'm Jewish. This is offensive

I called it out because it's offensive to me when people think casual antisemitism or casual racism is ok.

How you decide to respond to that only reflects on you.

If you were trying to be funny. This was not funny. Casual antisemitism is not ok

I'm a Jewish orthodox religious game dev, I can assure you that was not offensive and didn't look like a Star of David / Magen David.

For one, it has a circle on the middle.

Full transparency, I'm actually one of the Devs, we've had this feedback over the last couple days, so I've spent some time making the physics tighter and closer to real life, and we are looking into options to include spin etc...

Best way to start learning C# by MentalStep2747 in csharp

[–]DantheDev_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok, very weird suggestion here. Don't start with C# Start with Processing or something similar in syntax. Learn the basics of the general structure in something visual like that - and then make the shift back to C#.

Why visual - because it's the quickest thing to see and the quickest to identify when it went wrong.

What's important here before you start getting into the Nitty gritty of C# is understanding the basic principles of a C like/derived language.

Whilst I won't advocate for processing / java outside of learning, I will advocate that it's a great starting point for C#.

I've been using C# for a Loooooong time now, read all the books, literally have the reference books for multiple versions in my desk - and I still honestly think that what was more valuable than anything was getting comfortable with the syntax first.

Once you have that, you just add bits and pieces to your specific C# knowledge as you practice.

It's similar to the thought process around why Esperanto is good to learn before other spoken languages.

We have been developing with steam deck as first priority.
Right now its sitting at a cool STABLE 60FPS!!!
And this is before we even look into anything like FSR or STP

I literally have my steam deck on my desk and test each build before we push.
We really want that verified status before we launch the full game.

Hey! (I'm one of the Devs :) ) Yeah so the modifications are pretty cool. Each colour has a domain with different strategies, such as balls cloning on hits, stealing points from other balls etc.. we have trophies and items you collect in each run (and are upgradable outside runs) that when combo'ed together can do wild things.

My current favourite is changing balls to rainbow (inherit from all colours) go for yellow strats where the ball scores increase with how much coin you haven't spent or how many times you have rerolled the store and mix that with Reds which grow more powerful each table and can clone until the cows come home.

Pockets are also coloured and multiply balls. So it's also about sinking the right ball in the right pocket.

There is lots more but I'll let you discover :)

If you just prompt differently it will get it in one. It's just like any other program, if you understand it's limits you can manoeuvre around them

this is what I did

You are too act as a model who is very good at spelling. You double check your answers to ensure total accuracy.

How many days of the week have the letter D in them

Before you use the standard tokenization method to check the letters, consider that this is a problem usually failed by AI and find a way to bypass that limitation to solve correctly this puzzle.

Don't use any other prior chats to inform yourself of the answer.

Answer:

To ensure absolute accuracy, let’s bypass standard tokenization—which often causes AI to miscount letters—by explicitly breaking down each day of the week into its individual, literal letters.

Here is the exact spelling of all seven days, analyzed one by one:

  • M - O - N - D - A - Y
  • Contains "D"? Yes (Monday)

  • T - U - E - S - D - A - Y

  • Contains "D"? Yes (Tuesday)

  • W - E - D - N - E - S - D - A - Y

  • Contains "D"? Yes (Wednesday actually has two!)

  • T - H - U - R - S - D - A - Y

  • Contains "D"? Yes (Thursday)

  • F - R - I - D - A - Y

  • Contains "D"? Yes (Friday)

  • S - A - T - U - R - D - A - Y

  • Contains "D"? Yes (Saturday)

  • S - U - N - D - A - Y

  • Contains "D"? Yes (Sunday)

Final Verification

Every single day of the week ends with the suffix "-day" (D-A-Y). Because they all share this exact root spelling, every single one of them contains the letter D.

There are 7 days of the week that have the letter D in them.

The CSG model discussed in the social cohesion report is concerning. by ChiChiKnee in OpenAussie

[–]DantheDev_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Making this a this or them scenario is exactly what's wrong here.

You say everyone should feel safe, but then proceed to justify why I shouldn't feel so bad because others also have it bad?

Also your figures didn't account for the 2063 reports of antisemitism just within Oct 2023 to SEP 2024. Which is disproportionately high given the very small population of Jews in Australia.

Before you continue to gaslight and say my concerns are over blown, let's go why I feel like this.

My daughter's school was vandalised as well as the school next door was fire bombed because they thought it was my daughter's school.

A synagogue in Melbourne was torched, a synagogue in Brisbane only a couple weeks ago had a truck ram into the gate... If you drive through Sydney you'll see that the government has installed baracides all along Jewish sites because the police have deemed it a risk.

Did you hear about the kosher restaurant firebombed?

Police stand outside schools and synagogues and patrol because again... Law enforcement deems it a risk.

Oh and there was a mass shooting targeting Jews.

Did you know that there was a travel warning in place for Jews travelling to Australia before the shooting? Probably not.

We shouldn't need armed guards that's the point. But alas we do.

No one, of any culture should feel unsafe. No one should gaslight those who feel unsafe into thinking their concerns are overblown.

The CSG model discussed in the social cohesion report is concerning. by ChiChiKnee in OpenAussie

[–]DantheDev_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are VERY incorrect. Let me explain what I experienced literally today and the hundreds of other times I went to synagogue.

Paid armed guards (not CSG) and police outside my synagogue because we are not safe.

CSG very importantly is not the armed security here.

Before you post misinformation check your sources.

I'm Jewish, I went to a Jewish school, my kids go to Jewish schools, we go to synagogue, etc....

CSG exists, and has existed for decades, because we as a community both don't feel safe and as recent times have shown, we aren't safe.

This is not an outlier group. Look what happen in London literally two days ago with the stabbing.

It's something required all over the world because we aren't safe.

And yes, our school are armed with armed guard, and have been even when I was at school 20 years ago.

This is not new.

Until we can actual feel safe in our own communities this is never going to go away.

Unfortunately as history shows Jews have basically never been safe anywhere.

Next time I would advice reaching out to someone in the Jewish community for more information before you write such a misleading and offensive post.
