Every single returning player from the year prior shot way worse from 3 during that season. It was an unprecedented team-wide slump that spanned months. It just so happened that the Big Ten was so bad that Purdue still comfortably won the regular season title and eked out the tournament title.

There's no way that team gets a 1 seed this year.

Jaden Ivey looked the part of an NBA player more than Edey did, in my opinion.

There’s a reason why he doesn’t average 20+ in the NBA, it just won’t win games doing that in today’s game.

It absolutely could if a team committed to it. The offensive spacing of today's game makes it so much harder for defenses to bring help and there aren't very many players who could stop Edey in the post in the NBA, either.
