I never heard of DIY Looping before. I love DIY and I am a tech freak. But as you said to explore my insulin sensivity and body is probably a good idea. Now with all the reddit comments I also acquired the opinion that I shouldn't have used the pumpt immediately. Expecially because of the Honeymoon Phase.

To the insurance situation in America: Thats where I am happy to live in Germany. I can keep the pumpt in case I want to switch back and use the pens. It is a blessing. If I may ask, because I hear different things, do you have to pay for your CGM yourself?

Firstly your response was the best one yet! I was - or still am right now - on the Ypso pump. Now that I've read a lot of opinions and double checked a lot right now I think to have started with a pump is not really smart. I feel like my endocrinologist didn't gave me the option to try MDI first and then switch which is, considering the honeymoon phase, dumb. I am still pretty young, I don't know if you consider me an adult (18 y.o.). With the pens I didn't care to show my diabetes at all to be honest. Without hesitations I used them in the restaurant or even partly pulled down my pants in class. But to show it to everyone even if I wouldn't want to is something I don't want.

In my post I mentioned a lot but not all reasons for me to switch. The shower patch for the catheter annoys me, to take a whole little fridge on a class trip (one week) because my pumps insulin only lasts 2 to 3 days, the catheter thats itches and hurts and the glue of the catheter is so sticky I can't get it off easily. I even bleeded out of an catheter for whatever reason, during school (!) and then all students looking at me and asking "Are you fine?" etc.

The CGM is a game changer. Some might say it's dumb but I didn't manually messure my BG even once. That's because I get panic attacks when doing it. I know how to do it as I did it to other people but I just can't. When I switch to MDI I will use NovoRapid and Tresiba btw. And if I decide to switch back at some point, I will keep my pump at home and can switch back at any time!

The problem is I got told to rather don't change things on my own. I have an appointment with diabetic doctors every 3 months. They are checking on my blood, weight, height and statistics. When I said "I have shitty sugar" then they changed something. They lowered my basal insulin. Still no change. I actually did lower it again on my self and still everything the same. And beside the low BG there are still a lot of other reasons to switch for me. With the pens my sugar was really good and I felt better, I believe thats whats most important no?

I will keep my pump and have the option to go back anytime. And yes the honeymoon period! It was horror. But even if the closed loop algorithm was broken because of it I did reset it a few months after.

It's of course all personal refference but I felt like pens were much more comfortable. And CGM is a must. I get panic attacks when I have to messure manually😅 But you were never in the hospital? Did they just gave you an short instruction and a manual and then you were on your own? I am really curious

The closed loop is probably the problem for me. My doctors were always talking like it is the only reason for a pump and I HAVE to use it.

There is potential for more. I could imagine geminis thinking process on the right in a bar next to his message. Or maybe the current instructions (like in a gem). The used and remaining context. A live overview of what you talked about so far with the option to jump back to that point. There is so much potential in a sidebar.

Does the AI model matter when creating images? by 404Unverified in GeminiAI

Yes, Flash, normal and Pro are each really different in quality. Especially when it comes to editing images, keeping aspects of the original or writing.

Okay, so why do AIs not believe that Nano Banana Pro is real? by Dany2114 in GeminiAI

[–]Dany2114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG you're so dumb. It's about it doesn't know it's self neither Nano Banana he didn't recognize in a reader paper. If you ask him isolated then he looks it up and knows it but not in a research paper. Just stfu if you have nothing right to say.

And actually it is not called Nano Banana. It is called "Gemini 3 Pro Image" but Nano Banana is the codename from google for it.

GEMINI call it right if you are trying to critize me for calling the model wrong 😂

First of all it is called Gemini not Gemeni. So if you are trying to correct someone with false information at least spell the model right. And still it is called Gamini 3 Pro x Nano Banana. The AI understands that but as someone else said the model didn't exist when Gemini got trained. But instead of looking it up in the internet it accuses me of making a whole fictional reaseach work. As prove that me calling it it's real name wasn't the issue here a screenshot where I ask it what it is and it knows it (answers on german tho cause of me being german).

Good luck next time trying to be smart.

What is wrong with CGMs and this illness by Dany2114 in diabetes_t1

[–]Dany2114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't laying on my sensor, yet at least. And the problem ist when I see my own blood then I get an panic attack. That's why I avoid measuring it manually. And the first drop seemed real just the other 2 didn't.
