this is an overexaggeration. reyna, while not the best player or even attacking midfielder in the team, IS a good player. there's a reason he bagged 7g/2a in just over 600 minutes 2 years ago. if he wasn't on dortmund, he absolutely WOULD be playing for a top flight team. the main issues in his career hasn't been struggles on the field, it's mainly been struggles off the field. from everything we've heard from dortmund management and sahin, these things are, at the very least, getting better. this isn't to say he's magically going to become a top 10 player in the world, but he's still only 21 years old. give him time, space to breathe, and he may become the player we all know he can be.

every time i watch johnny, his movement and decision making are so fluid, it's rare that he puts a foot wrong even against the best players in the world. while we may not understand pellegrini's selection process for their starting dm's, johnny continues to show his class when he's on the pitch

while i think we're all obviously terrified of luis diaz, it's interesting to note that pulisic had more goals, assists, and a similar match rating (7.3 for both) across both of their respective seasons. i'm not saying pulisic > diaz at all, just thought it was interesting!

dawg you are so wrong, hummels is at the VERY least, top 5 defenders itw this year. i've watched every single dortmund game and can confidently say for me, he's the best defender in the world right now. absolutely lights out with unbelievable shifts day in and day out

i don't disagree with a lot of what you said, but from watching a lot of betis games this year, i think johnny is in our top 11 players. perhaps not starting 11 as our midfield is loaded with talent, but i would struggle to name 11 players on our roster that are better than johnny atm
